The episode opens with a misunderstanding between Vaiju and Rannvijay. Vaiju believes that Rannvijay has not looked for her, while Rannvijay feels that even though Vaiju is alive, she hasn’t made an effort to seek him out. A flashback reveals a heartbroken Rannvijay, consumed by grief and drunk, crying for Vaiju. Vasundhara comforts him, reminding him that it has been a month since Vaiju left, and he needs to stop punishing himself. Meanwhile, Rannvijay is puzzled by Vani’s presence and her addressing Vaiju as “Aai.” Vaiju recalls a moment from the past when Vani was just two months old, affirming that she is enough for herself and will not let Vani feel the absence of her father.
Over at Vasundhara’s place, Jaya is anxious, trying to reach Rannvijay. She confides in Vasundhara that she feels something isn’t right. When Rannvijay finally answers her call, he mentions there were network issues. Jaya inquires about Vayu’s treatment, and in a slip, Rannvijay inadvertently mentions Vaiju’s name but quickly corrects himself, hanging up the call. Vasundhara notices this and asks Jaya if she heard Rannvijay mention Vaiju. Jaya reveals that she did, sensing he was hiding something from her, triggering her worries about how history may be repeating itself.
Vasundhara tries to calm Jaya down, offering her water and explaining that Rannvijay has endured immense suffering because of Vaiju. She reflects on how he was almost lost to his grief and had forgotten how to smile until Vayu came into their lives. Vasundhara shares a memory of Rannvijay donating a significant amount to an orphanage, where he first saw baby Vayu and decided to adopt him as his own. Jaya expresses her concern that Rannvijay might be slipping back into his old pain.
Meanwhile, Rannvijay finds Vayu looking upset and feeling guilty for taking away his smile. He attempts to cheer Vayu up by offering him food, but Vayu refuses, stating that he is searching for glasses, convinced that he won’t get better. Rannvijay reassures him that they will find a better doctor and that he will improve. Vayu explains how he found relief from his headache thanks to the herbal remedy from his “fighter aunty” and how her presence makes him feel brave and better. Rannvijay, realizing he cannot jeopardize Vayu’s future due to his past, understands the importance of moving forward. However, Vayu secretly decides to leave and meet Vaiju for treatment. Rannvijay is shocked to discover that Vayu is missing.
In another flashback, when Rannvijay decided to adopt Vayu, the orphanage required him to have a wife to provide the child with both parents. Vasundhara then suggests that Jaya marry Rannvijay. Rannvijay firmly states that no one can replace Vaiju in his life, but Vasundhara convinces him that they should become Vayu’s parents instead.
Back in the present, Vaiju and Vani find themselves in darkness due to a power outage but manage to light a lantern. They are startled to see a shadow, which turns out to be Vayu. Vani smiles in delight, while Vaiju is taken aback by his sudden appearance.
**Precap:** Rannvijay faces a brutal attack, and Vani is kidnapped, leaving everyone in distress.
