Get ready for some serious fireworks on Colors TV’s ‘Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki’! Veteran actor Sanjay Swaraj has made a grand entrance, taking on a mighty new role as Mannat’s father and the ex-husband of Aishwarya Rai Singh (formerly known as Sonia Sharma, played by Mona Vasu). His arrival is set to completely shift the dynamics of relationships and inject a thrilling new layer of intrigue into the show, produced by Mukta Dhond’s Malhar Content Creators.
A Character of Shades: Neither Pure Good Nor Pure Evil
Sanjay Swaraj recently spoke to IWMBuzz.com about this complex new character. “This is a mighty character, very different from what I have played earlier,” he shares. “You cannot term the man as positive or negative. His relationship varies from individual to individual. He is extremely positive and will be a beacon of light in the life of his daughter, Mannat.”
However, there’s a darker side to his return. “He has returned with a lot of angst against Sonia, the woman who ruined his life. He will be totally against the scheming Aishwarya Rai Singh. This will be a tussle to look forward to in the show.” Sanjay reveals that his character is deeply hurt and battered from enduring so much in life because of Sonia Singh, and he is now back purely for revenge. “My character has a lot of emotions to play with. There is a painful backstory which justifies all his actions against Sonia.”
Creative Confrontations and a Fresh Narrative
Sanjay, known for his challenging roles in shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Bekaboo, Molkki, Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti, Doree 2, and more, is thrilled to share screen space with the talented cast of Mannat. “Mona Vasu is a power-packed performer. She is doing a great job in the role of Aishwarya Rai Singh. My character and scope in the storyline will provide a great platform for the face-off between our characters. I look forward to that creative engagement.”
He also expressed his excitement about the show’s unique appeal: “The show is very different and is not the typical saas-bahu saga that we get to watch on TV usually. The underplay of emotions and the interpersonal relationships between the prime characters have won the audience’s minds.
