The episode begins with Chinta Bua expressing her frustration to Shanti about the delay in the wedding proceedings. She emphasizes that it is unacceptable for the groom and the baarat to wait for the bride, urging Shanti to call Mangal immediately. Shanti agrees and heads off to find Mangal. Meanwhile, in a separate room, Akshat lies unconscious on the floor, and water is dangerously pooling around him. If the water reaches him, it poses a serious risk of electrocution.
As tensions rise, Kusum approaches the bride’s room. Standing outside, she speaks to Mangal, offering her support if Mangal wishes to give Adit another chance, as she had suggested earlier. Kusum implores Mangal to reconsider her marriage to Kapil and to call off the wedding. Just then, Shanti arrives, visibly angry, and drags Kusum inside the room. She reveals that Mangal is not present and chastises Kusum for suggesting that Mangal cancel the wedding, implying that Mangal’s absence is somehow Kusum’s fault.
Chinta Bua soon joins them and inquires about Mangal’s whereabouts. Shanti informs her that Mangal is still at the beauty parlour, leading Chinta Bua to speculate that Mangal hasn’t truly moved on from her first marriage and may have run away from the wedding altogether. She insists that Mangal doesn’t deserve Kapil and declares that the baarat will not leave until Kapil is married. At that moment, Lipika enters the scene, announcing that everyone is calling for them. Chinta Bua then makes a shocking suggestion: she proposes that Lipika take Mangal’s place as the bride and marry Kapil instead. The room falls silent in disbelief.
Lipika, overwhelmed with emotion, pleads with Shanti to intervene, but Shanti hesitates, unsure of how to proceed. Chinta Bua, undeterred, insists that the wedding must go on and covers Lipika with a dupatta, forcefully leading her away. Lipika cries out in distress, protesting that this is an unjust act.
Pratima arrives just in time to witness the unfolding chaos. She demands to know what is happening, and Chinta Bua bluntly informs her that Mangal has run away, and as a result, Kapil will now marry Lipika. Pratima firmly refuses to accept this plan, but Chinta Bua shouts her down, declaring that she will ensure Kapil marries Lipika. With that, she drags Lipika towards the stage. Confused and concerned, Kapil asks what is going on and where Mangal is.
At that moment, Mangal arrives at the venue, visibly distressed and soaked. She frantically asks where Akshat is, and Kapil questions why she is drenched and if she was in the room. Chinta Bua is taken aback by Mangal’s sudden appearance. Ignoring the commotion, Mangal begins searching for Akshat, while Ishana informs everyone that Akshat is nowhere to be found. Shanti insists that Akshat must be nearby and urges Mangal to get ready for the wedding. However, Mangal adamantly refuses, continuing her desperate search until she spots Akshat’s kurta. Realizing the danger, she unlocks the door and manages to pull the unconscious Akshat out just in time, averting a potential electrocution.
Mangal pleads with Akshat to wake up, her voice filled with desperation. Kapil quickly turns off the power in the room to prevent any further danger. Concerned family members gather around, worried for Akshat’s condition. Kapil rushes off to call for a doctor, while Bijli whispers to Chinta Bua, urging her to pray that Akshat does not regain consciousness, as he would expose her deceitful actions. Chinta Bua responds with a sarcastic remark, clearly unfazed.
As the pandit arrives, he announces that only a few minutes remain before the wedding ceremony must begin. Chinta Bua, seeing an opportunity, tells Mangal that Akshat will be fine and insists that she should sit in the mandap for the rituals. She instructs Kusum to remain with Akshat until the ceremony is over, earning an angry glare from Kusum in response. When Kapil returns, Pratima urges Mangal to proceed with the wedding, but Mangal stands her ground, stating that she cannot go through with the marriage until Akshat regains consciousness.
Chinta Bua, growing impatient, grabs Mangal’s hand and tries to convince her that Akshat may just be playing around and will come to marry Kapil, reminding her that her first marriage has already ended. Mangal, however, resolutely refuses to leave until she knows Akshat is safe and awake.
