The episode begins with a light-hearted moment as Jairaj playfully chides Mangal for being five minutes late. Mangal, with a hint of mischief in her voice, explains that her tardiness is due to her preparations for his birthday, mentioning that she made a special halwa cake for him. Jairaj, surprised, inquires how she knows about his birthday, jokingly suggesting that she must be spying on him.
Just then, Adit calls Jairaj to wish him a happy birthday. Jairaj, taken aback, asks how Adit found out, to which Adit replies that he has his sources. Adit then invites Jairaj for a birthday lunch at home, reminding him that their meeting from the previous day is still incomplete.
Jairaj agrees to the invitation, though he wonders why Adit is keen on celebrating his birthday since he has always considered such celebrations a waste of time.
Mangal, ever the optimist, reminds Jairaj that celebrating his birthday is part of their mission, and they should embrace it for the sake of their country. This perspective seems to resonate with Jairaj, who, despite his reservations, acknowledges the importance of the occasion.
As they shift focus, Jairaj suggests they practice their dance routine, noting that Mangal still hasn’t mastered the steps. Mangal struggles to perform the traditional Rajasthani Bhavai dance, questioning why they are using pots instead of salsa as they had initially planned. Jairaj compliments her cake but gently reminds her that she wanted to perform an Indian dance.
In a moment of clumsiness, Mangal accidentally breaks a few pots, expressing her frustration about how she will manage to practice now. Jairaj, ever supportive, shows her more pots, encouraging her to keep going. Mangal, however, mentions that Adit has given her a lot of cooking tasks for Jairaj’s birthday, emphasizing that she needs to focus on preparing the food as part of their mission before she leaves to complete her tasks.
Later, Adit tastes the food Mangal has prepared and is pleased with the flavors. The birthday arrangements are coming together nicely, and Ishana curiously asks Adit why they are celebrating Jairaj’s birthday at their home. Adit explains that maintaining good relationships with significant investors is crucial for securing future investments, highlighting the strategic nature of their celebration.
The doorbell rings, and Mangal, Ishana, and Shubhi eagerly welcome Jairaj into the home. The family gathers around to wish him a happy birthday, and he graciously thanks them, taking the blessings of the elders. Sudesh mentions that Jairaj’s father was worried he would be alone on his special day, but he reassured him that they would be there for him.
As they celebrate, Jairaj cuts the cake and feeds everyone, spreading joy and laughter. Adit takes Mangal aside, expressing his admiration for her efforts in making Jairaj happy and for the successful arrangements. He thanks her sincerely before heading back to join the festivities.
Jairaj, noticing Mangal’s dedication, acknowledges that she has organized a grand celebration for him. Mangal reminds him that it’s all part of gaining Adit’s trust as part of their mission, and she notes that Adit even thanked her for it. Jairaj nods in agreement, appreciating her commitment.
Shubhi then gathers everyone to play a bottle game, spinning the bottle to see who it lands on. It points to Jairaj, and the family encourages him to sing a song. Jairaj obliges, singing a few lines from “Bade Mushkil,” which brings smiles to everyone’s faces. The bottle then points to Adit, who sings “Nayak Nahi Kalnayak Hoon Main,” earning applause from the group. Next, it’s Mangal’s turn, and she sings “Baby Doll,” impressing everyone, especially Kusum, who praises her singing talent.
As Shubhi spins the bottle again, she declares it points toward the door, prompting her to spin once more. At that moment, Sowmya enters, unexpectedly breaking into song. The room falls silent as everyone is shocked to see her alive.
Kusum collapses in disbelief, and Gayatri rushes to catch her. Sowmya greets the Saxena family, but Kusum is in utter shock, unable to comprehend that Sowmya has returned.
Kusum immediately confronts Adit, demanding to know why he lied to them about Sowmya’s death. She accuses him of knowing the truth all along. Adit, taken aback, denies her accusations, claiming he is just as shocked to see Sowmya alive.
Sudesh and Kusum refuse to accept Sowmya back into their lives, insisting that she leave their house. Sowmya pleads with the Saxena family to accept her, but Adit argues vehemently with her, stating that there is no longer any relationship between them. He demands that she go, and when she asks where she is supposed to go, the family remains resolute in their rejection.
As Sowmya prepares to leave, she pretends to faint, and two nurses who accompany her catch her. One of the nurses explains to the family that Sowmya has been in a coma for five years and has only just regained consciousness. She reveals that the Saxena household was listed as Sowmya’s emergency contact, which is why they brought her there. The nurse insists that it is now the family’s responsibility to care for her. Despite Kusum’s objections, the nurses exit, leaving Sowmya in the family’s midst.
Sowmya once again begs the family to let her stay, expressing that she has nowhere else to go, but they continue to refuse her. Jairaj, observing the situation, realizes that Sowmya’s return is driven by jealousy towards Adit and Mangal. He feels compelled to inform Mangal about the unfolding drama.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger.
Precap: Sowmya expresses her gratitude to Mangal for forgiving her, but Mangal clarifies that she has only allowed her to stay in the house temporarily, hinting at the tension that lies ahead.
