The episode begins with Mangal diligently cleaning her house, showcasing her commitment to maintaining a tidy and welcoming environment. Despite having recently relocated to a new city, her character remains unchanged—she is still the same kind and helpful person she has always been. Shanti, who observes Mangal’s actions, questions the motivation behind her decision to do all the cleaning herself. Mangal responds with a warm smile, indicating that her family’s presence is what truly matters to her. Shanti continues to express concern about Mangal taking on the cleaning workload alone, especially after granting leave to the worker who usually assists them. Mangal explains that the worker had already exerted herself by cleaning other homes, and out of kindness, she chose to let her rest. Although Shanti insists on lending a hand, Mangal reassures her that she can manage the task on her own.
As the scene unfolds, Akshat and Ishana arrive, eager to offer their assistance to Mangal. However, Mangal encourages Ishana to focus on her dance practice instead, emphasizing her desire for Ishana to excel as a dancer. Ishana begins her practice, but when she stumbles on a dance step, Mangal steps in to help her, demonstrating her nurturing side. The atmosphere is filled with joy as Mangal, the children, and Shanti share lighthearted moments together until the sound of the doorbell interrupts them.
Mangal then shifts her focus to her dhaba, where she prepares food for her customers. After successfully delivering an order and collecting payment, she returns to her cleaning duties. The doorbell rings once again, and Shanti opens the door to greet someone she has been anticipating. When Mangal inquires about the visitor, Shanti reveals that she has hired a worker from the neighbor’s house to clean the outer area, urging Mangal not to refuse this help. Mangal, although initially resistant, ultimately agrees to accept the assistance.
Later, Akshat seeks Mangal’s permission to video call Adit, inviting him to join them in Mussoorie for the Diwali celebrations. Adit, however, informs Akshat that he is unable to attend due to work commitments. Akshat accepts this explanation and promises to video call Adit again on Diwali. During the conversation, Adit notices Akshat’s old clothes and questions whether Mangal has bought him new ones. Adit offers to order new clothes online, but Ishana interjects, assuring him that their mother has already purchased the outfits they wanted. Adit feels a pang of guilt for underestimating Mangal, realizing that he had expected her to return home within ten days with the children. After exchanging goodbyes, Adit ends the call, reflecting on his assumptions.
Meanwhile, a pregnant Sowmya is seen performing an aarti for Adit before he departs. Dressed in a saree, she later attempts to clean her house but nearly trips in the process. Fortunately, Kusum arrives just in time to save her from falling and advises her against overexerting herself, emphasizing the importance of taking care of her unborn child. Sowmya expresses her heartfelt gratitude to Kusum, acknowledging that without her support, both she and her baby could have been in danger.
A flashback reveals Sowmya pleading for forgiveness from Adit and his family while disclosing her pregnancy. Adit reacts with disbelief and refuses to let her enter the house. However, Kusum, showing compassion, allows Sowmya to stay for the sake of Adit’s unborn child. In the present, Kusum reiterates her concerns for Sowmya’s well-being. Adit emerges from the house, and when Sowmya offers to make him tea, he declines and walks away.
Back at the dhaba, the worker completes her tasks, and Mangal steps outside to offer her payment along with a box of sweets as a gesture of appreciation. To Mangal’s surprise, the worker appears startled by her presence and quickly leaves. Mangal shares her confusion about the worker’s odd behavior with Shanti, prompting the worker to make a phone call. She informs the person on the other end that Mangal has returned, expressing concern about what this could mean for their past.
As the day progresses, Mangal decorates the dhaba with colorful rangoli, preparing the space for the Diwali festivities. Akshat admires her efforts, and Mangal decides to head to the market to purchase additional items, leaving Akshat in charge at the dhaba. Shortly after, Neel and his friends arrive and begin eating the food without paying. When Akshat confronts them about the payment, Neel responds with a warning, asserting his dominance. As Akshat attempts to intervene again, Neel reacts by ruining the rangoli and physically pushing Akshat. Mangal rushes in at that moment, supporting Akshat and admonishing Neel for his unacceptable behavior. Neel, however, warns Mangal not to interfere.
Meanwhile, the worker examines a file containing Mangal’s details. She contacts the same lady again, confirming that Mangal is indeed the same person they had been concerned about, noting that she has returned after sixteen years. The worker expresses her hope that Mangal does not reveal the secrets of their shared past.
In the upcoming scenes, Neel is poised to create further trouble for Mangal, escalating the tension surrounding her return.
