The episode begins with Sowmya meeting a woman named Reema in a secluded corner of a bustling marketplace. As they exchange hurried words, Sowmya hands over a sum of money to Reema and takes a baby from a cradle nearby. Apologizing for her tardiness, Sowmya cradles the baby lovingly and speaks softly to her, revealing her intentions. She explains to the infant that she is about to stage a dramatic act of her own death to reclaim her estranged husband, Adit.
Sowmya believes that if Mangal, Adit’s current partner, thinks she is responsible for the baby’s death, it will lead to Mangal’s emotional downfall. With a sense of urgency, Sowmya instructs Reema to take care of her daughter and ensure that no one discovers that the baby is alive and is, in fact, her daughter.
Meanwhile, Adit is seen in a vulnerable state, crying in his mother Kusum’s lap. He expresses his feelings of inadequacy as a father, lamenting that he has never even had the chance to hold his daughter. Kusum, in her maternal role, comforts him, trying to ease his pain and reassure him that he is not to blame for the circumstances.
Later, Reema encounters Sowmya again in the market, this time with the baby in her arms. She informs Sowmya that she is planning to return to her village and suggests that Sowmya should take back her child. Sowmya, feeling possessive and protective, argues vehemently against this, insisting that Reema must continue to keep the baby hidden. Just then, Mangal spots Sowmya and begins to approach her, but an auto rickshaw passes by, causing her to lose sight of them.
Mangal is left wondering who the woman Sowmya was talking to, and as she sees Reema leaving, she confronts her, demanding to know why she was meeting Sowmya. In a panic, Reema pushes Mangal and attempts to flee. Mangal, determined to get answers, chases after her, catching hold of Reema’s pallu and causing her to fall. In a desperate bid to escape, Reema throws sand into Mangal’s eyes, blinding her temporarily. Mangal stumbles onto the road, nearly getting into an accident, but Lakshmi arrives just in time to pull her to safety. Mangal, still shaken, explains to Lakshmi that sand has gotten into her eyes, and Lakshmi helps her wash them out, offering comfort as Mangal cries in frustration.
Back at home, Sowmya is anxious as she covers the baby with a shawl, thinking about how to hide her before anyone notices. She spots Kusum nearby and hurriedly places the baby in a flower pot, covering her with flowers to conceal her presence.
Kusum approaches and asks Sowmya what she is doing there. Sowmya feigns sadness, claiming she went for a walk to clear her mind. Kusum, unaware of the truth, decides to take the flower pot to decorate the mandir. Just as she picks it up, she hears a faint sound coming from the pot, causing her to pause in confusion and shock Sowmya, who is now panicking.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi is concerned about Mangal and asks her if something is troubling her. Mangal confides in Lakshmi about how Sowmya accused her of murdering her daughter, expressing her belief that Sowmya’s baby is still alive. She shares the details of her encounter with Sowmya in the market, explaining how she tried to catch her but failed. Lakshmi, skeptical of Sowmya’s intentions, insists that they must uncover the truth behind her lies.
Sowmya, trying to mislead Kusum, shows her videos of babies on her phone, claiming the sound they heard was from those clips. Kusum, believing Sowmya is in shock over her loss, prays for her recovery. When Sowmya pretends to feel dizzy, Kusum rushes to the kitchen to prepare some herbal medicine, leaving Sowmya an opportunity to sneak the baby to her room.
Meanwhile, Mangal and Lakshmi manage to trace Reema’s house by following her slippers. Upon entering, they discover an expensive cradle, leading Lakshmi to suspect that Sowmya has lied about the baby’s death. Back at Sowmya’s home, she struggles to keep the baby quiet, her nerves fraying as she fears being discovered.
Mangal and Lakshmi confront Reema, who is hastily packing her bags. Reema, sensing danger, calls for help from her neighbors, but Mangal and Lakshmi quickly disguise themselves as pest control workers to gain entry. Under pressure, Reema reveals that Sowmya gave her the baby and threatened her with harm if she refused to take care of her. She insists that she is not involved in any baby trafficking and clarifies that she intended to return the baby to Sowmya before leaving for her village. Mangal and Lakshmi realize that the baby is indeed alive and rush off to find her.
Mangal expresses her disbelief at how Sowmya could declare her living baby dead and manipulate everyone around her. She reflects on the guilt Sowmya has placed on her regarding the baby’s supposed death. Lakshmi, determined to expose Sowmya, insists they must find the baby first, fearing that Sowmya might harm her. Meanwhile, Sowmya is on the phone, arranging to hide her baby for a few days in exchange for money. Believing that the coast is clear, she prepares to move the baby but is interrupted by the doorbell. In a panic, she quickly hides the baby in the storeroom.
Mangal and Lakshmi arrive at Sowmya’s house, still disguised as pest control workers. They convince her to let them in, but they notice her tension and reluctance to allow them near the storeroom. Lakshmi, seizing the moment, sprays a liquid on Sowmya’s feet, warning her to wash them off immediately. While Sowmya heads to the bathroom, Mangal takes the opportunity to unlock the storeroom and search for the baby. However, Sowmya returns unexpectedly and confronts Lakshmi, who quickly blocks the door to prevent her from entering. In a shocking moment, Sowmya pulls off Lakshmi’s mask and realizes the truth—that Mangal is inside the storeroom.
Just then, the doorbell rings again, and Adit and Kusum return home. They are immediately suspicious of the smoke and Lakshmi’s presence. In a frantic attempt to deflect attention, Sowmya accuses Mangal and Lakshmi of torturing her and calls out for Adit to save her. Just then, Mangal emerges from the storeroom, holding Sowmya’s baby in her arms, and declares that she did not kill the baby. She reminds Sowmya that she has saved the baby both today and in the past. A shocked Sowmya is left speechless as Mangal confronts her, demanding to know why she would declare her living baby dead.
In the precap, the narrative takes a significant leap forward as the show jumps five years into the future. Mangal is seen searching for a suitable groom for Ishana, someone who will respect and love her, setting the stage for new challenges and developments in their lives.
