The episode opens with Sowmya in the kitchen, asking Kusum if she would like some juice. Kusum declines the offer, and Sowmya, feeling a bit disheartened, turns her attention to Mangal, suggesting a spiked juice to her. However, Mangal refuses as well, which frustrates Sowmya. In a fit of annoyance, she throws the juice containing sleeping tablets into a nearby plant, pondering her predicament. She thinks to herself, “If Mangal doesn’t eat anything, how can I make her consume the sleeping tablets?”
Kusum, noticing Mangal’s fasting, gently encourages her, saying, “I know you’re fasting, but today is Visarjan too, so you should eat this banana.” Mangal, after some hesitation, agrees to eat the banana. Just as she is about to take a bite, her phone rings with a call from the doctor regarding Adit’s therapy. Mangal steps aside to take the call. Meanwhile, Sudesh calls for Kusum, prompting her to leave as well. Seizing this opportunity, Sowmya quickly injects the sleeping medicine into the banana and places it back on the table.
When Mangal returns, she begins preparing laddoos again, but Kusum insists that she eat the banana first. Just as Mangal is about to take a bite, a ball suddenly hits her hand, causing the banana to drop. Adit rushes over to apologize, and Kusum scolds him for being careless. Sowmya, watching the scene unfold, thinks to herself, “Adit ruined my plan again. What should I do now?”
Later, Mangal gathers the children and asks them to offer flowers to God and pray for Adit’s recovery. The children enthusiastically agree. After the pooja, Kusum turns to Sudesh and asks him to apply kumkum (vermilion) on her maang (parting of the hair). Sudesh complies, and Adit, curious, inquires about what Sudesh has done. Kusum explains, “After marriage, a husband fills his wife’s maang with sindoor.” This prompts Adit to recall his wedding photo with Mangal, and he looks for sindoor in her hand.
Adit, eager to fill Mangal’s maang with sindoor, approaches her. However, Mangal stops him, and everyone around is taken aback by her reaction. Adit, confused, asks, “What are you doing?” He tries to justify his actions by stating, “I’m your husband, so I’m filling your maang just like Dad did for Mom.” Mangal firmly refuses, insisting that he cannot do that. Adit, feeling rejected, questions her reasoning and, in frustration, declares, “I don’t like you,” before storming off. The children quickly follow him, leaving Sowmya satisfied that Mangal has thwarted Adit’s intentions.
A lady approaches Mangal, requesting her to prepare abhooshan (ornaments) for the Visarjan ceremony. Mangal agrees and goes to gather the necessary items. Outside, Adit and the family perform aarti (a prayer ritual) to Bappa (Lord Ganesha). Meanwhile, Sowmya’s plan takes a darker turn as Mangal unexpectedly collapses in the storeroom, having inhaled the dhoop (incense) that Sowmya arranged. Sowmya smirks at the sight of Mangal unconscious, reveling in her success. Adit, noticing Mangal’s absence, feels neglected and assumes the worst about her character.
Sowmya, realizing that Mangal is completely unconscious, locks her inside a sandook (box) and thinks to herself, “I don’t want Adit to be cured until Kapil is punished. This year, Mangal’s Visarjan will happen along with Bappa.” She instructs a lady to take the sandook with Bappa’s belongings for the Visarjan, and the lady agrees, sending men to retrieve it.
Adit continues to search for Mangal, asking Sowmya if she has seen her. Sowmya feigns ignorance, and Adit, frustrated, calls Mangal bad and leaves in disappointment. Kusum, growing concerned about Mangal’s absence, wonders why she hasn’t come back with Ganapati’s belongings. The men carry the sandook near Bappa’s idol, completely unaware that Mangal is trapped inside. Sowmya thinks to herself, “Today, Mangal will die.”
As the preparations for the Visarjan continue, Kusum urges the ladies to pause the process until Mangal arrives. Sowmya, however, reassures her not to delay, claiming that Mangal will show up soon. Adit expresses his desire to dance with Mangal, but Sowmya interjects, insisting he should not mention her name. He insists on searching for her, but Sowmya blocks his path. The ladies encourage Kusum to join them for the Visarjan in the tempo. Initially hesitant, Kusum agrees when they assure her that Mangal will join them for the ceremony. The group sets off for the Visarjan, leaving Mangal’s fate hanging in the balance.
