Rising star Choi Geon is stepping into the spotlight with his next big role! On December 3, his agency confirmed that he’ll be part of the cast lineup for the upcoming K-drama I Dol I, which is set to premiere on December 22 at 10 PM KST on ENA. The series will also stream on KT Genie TV and Netflix.
So, what’s the drama about? I Dol I mixes romance and mystery, following a lawyer who’s been a loyal fan of a K-pop idol for 15 years. Things take a dark turn when the idol is accused of murdering his group’s leader and best friend, and the lawyer steps in to defend him.
Choi Geon will play Lee Young Bin, the sweet and lovable youngest member of the fictional boy band Gold Boys. He’ll share plenty of screen time with Kim Jae Yeong’s character, Do Ra Ik.

The actor shared his excitement, saying: “It hasn’t been long since I started my career, but I’ll do my best with any role or project, and I hope you enjoy it.”
This marks another milestone for Choi Geon, who first debuted in Social Savvy Class 101 (2024). While he didn’t take on a full drama this year, fans spotted him in cameo roles in My Dearest Nemesis and Netflix’s Mercy for None.
With director Lee Gwang Young (known for Call It Love and The Secret Life of My Secretary) at the helm, and production by A Story, expectations are high for this new series.
