The Mahakumbh Gathering

The story opens with the grand spectacle of the Mahakumbh, a significant religious event that took place in 2001 at the sacred city of Pragyaraj. This gathering attracts numerous spiritual leaders, gurus, and agoris from across the country, all drawn together by an air of mystery and anticipation. As they assemble, a palpable sense of curiosity fills the atmosphere; they ponder the purpose of this unusual congregation and the pressing issues that have compelled them to meet.

Suddenly, a man steps forward, addressing the crowd with a grave demeanor. He introduces himself as a professor and expresses his apologies for summoning them under such dire circumstances. He reveals that there is a looming threat, an issue that will emerge in 24 years. The gurus, perplexed, question the validity of his claims. The man insists that he is merely a messenger of the celestial bodies, stating that it is the Graha (planets) that have foretold this impending crisis, which involves an attack from an enemy nation.

The head guru responds skeptically, pointing out that enemy nations have always posed a threat. He challenges the professor, asking how he possesses such knowledge of the future. The professor explains that he has conducted extensive research on their country’s horoscope, which led him to this alarming conclusion. To further validate his prediction, he mentions his visit to the Nadi Mandir, a place known for its astrological insights.

When the guru inquires about the urgency of their meeting, given that the threat is still two decades away, the professor reveals that he has received intelligence indicating that enemy operatives have already begun infiltrating India.

Parmeet’s Family

Meanwhile, in a domestic setting, Parmeet is seen urging his wife, Nimrat, to hurry with the packing for their upcoming vacation. Nimrat, focused on her tasks, asks him to be patient. Parmeet reminds her that they need to cut a cake for their son’s birthday before they leave. Just then, the doorbell rings, interrupting their preparations.

When Parmeet opens the door, he is greeted by a group of men who have crossed the border illegally. One of them, pretending to be harmless, claims they are on their way to Mahakumbh and requests some water. Parmeet, being hospitable, invites them in and offers them food, sharing that his family is also going to Mahakumbh the next day. However, as he unwittingly welcomes them, he notices their suspicious behavior and their passports, leading to a tragic turn of events. In a shocking act of violence, the men kill Parmeet, leaving Nimrat horrified as she screams his name in despair.

The Professor’s Warning

Back at the gathering, the guru presses the professor for a solution to the impending crisis. The professor cryptically states that a savior will emerge, someone who cannot be stopped. When the guru demands to know who this savior is, the professor reveals that she is Ananta, the embodiment of divine power, referred to as Shiv’s vadharni, the queen of Naaglok, and the leader of the Anantkul. A sanyasini interjects, mentioning the demise of Sheshnaag’s clan, but the professor reassures them that Sheshnaag still holds the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Curiosity piqued, the guru asks where they might find Ananta. The professor recalls a conversation with a priest who had previously informed him of Ananta’s whereabouts and urged him to prepare her for the impending battle.

In the present day, the professor acknowledges the gravity of his mission, stating that he will seek out Ananta, who possesses the powers of Sheshnaagin. He entrusts his research findings to his son, instructing him to keep them safe. Sensing danger, he warns his son to always prioritize their country. With a heavy heart, he departs, fully aware of the risks involved.

Shalini’s Concern

Meanwhile, Parmeet’s friend, Shalini, grows anxious as she tries to reach Parmeet, who is unresponsive. As she watches the news, her worry intensifies. The professor arrives at their home, declaring he has come to find Ananta. Shalini’s husband, skeptical, informs the professor that Ananta is merely a myth. The professor insists that only Ananta can defeat their nation’s enemies. Meanwhile, the men who murdered Parmeet overhear this conversation and kidnap the professor, further complicating the situation.

Later, Shalini hears a knock at the door and opens it to find Sheshnaagin, who urgently requests help. Observing that Sheshnaagin is pregnant, Shalini ushers her inside. In a dramatic moment, Sheshnaagin gives birth to a baby girl, foretelling her own demise. She implores Shalini and her husband to care for her daughter, naming her Ananta, and urging them to protect her at all costs.

The Birth of Ananta

In a flashback, Sheshnaagin speaks tenderly to her unborn daughter, sensing danger as a pack of foxes approaches. In a desperate bid for survival, she fights off the foxes but ultimately succumbs to the threats surrounding her. In the present, she names her daughter Ananta, leaving Shalini and her husband in shock. Shalini takes the newborn Ananta into her arms, a smile breaking through her tears.

Meanwhile, the men who captured the professor interrogate him, demanding to know who will come to defeat them. The professor boldly asserts that she will indeed come, claiming that Ichadhari Naagin, blessed by Shiva, will emerge. He is ultimately killed, his warnings echoing in the air.

A New Beginning in New Delhi

Fast forward 24 years to New Delhi. Shalini discusses their move from Amritsar with her husband, expressing concern about their life changes. He reassures her, revealing that he has arranged everything for their new life. They discuss their daughters, who are out shopping.

In the bustling market, Ananta, now a young girl, is seen playfully handling a snake, which astonishes onlookers. She places the snake beside a Shivling while chanting “Jai Bholenaath,” earning praise from her neighbors. Her friend Purvi, who trips and falls in the mud, is helped by Ananta, who encourages her and shows her the earrings she wanted.

As they return home, Purvi expresses her anxiety about not receiving a call from Ananta’s news channel. Ananta reassures her, while Shalini’s husband inquires about tickets to Pragyaraj. Purvi admits she forgot, leading to playful teasing from Shalini’s son, Rohan, which causes Purvi to cry. Ananta, protective of her friend, chases Rohan in a lighthearted confrontation.

Meanwhile, Uttara Naagin and another figure observe Ananta’s house, discussing her significance. Later, as Ananta prepares for a party, Purvi admires her beauty and the promise of a bright future. Ananta vows to help Purvi secure a job at a news channel, despite being a fashion designer herself.

At the party, Aryaman receives congratulations, while his assistant shares her wedding news, which he finds troubling. As guests arrive, he greets his father, Parmeet, warmly, marking a moment of family reunion.

In a temple setting, Uttara shares stories of past naagins, recounting the legacies of Shivanya, Shivangi, Bela, Brinda, Bani, and Pragati, foreshadowing that Ananta’s story is about to unfold.

Shalini confides in her husband about Purvi’s true identity, revealing that they named their daughter Ananta, altering her name to Purvi for safety. Meanwhile, the junior naagin is taken aback to see Purvi’s portrait in the temple, hinting at a deeper connection.

Precap

As the episode closes, Purvi enters the temple, unaware of her true identity as a naagin. Uttara observes her, knowing that Purvi’s journey is just beginning, setting the stage for the unfolding drama.
