Netflix has released new details about the characters in its upcoming drama *As You Stood By*, featuring Jeon So Nee, Lee Yoo Mi, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Moo Saeng!
Based on Hideo Okuda’s acclaimed novel *Naomi and Kanako*, *As You Stood By* follows two women pushed to their limits as they confront a harsh reality that leads them to contemplate murder as their only escape. The drama is helmed by director Lee Jung Rim, known for his work on *VIP* and *Revenant*.
Jeon So Nee stars as Eun Su, an employee at a luxury department store. Haunted by childhood trauma, she makes a pivotal decision to help her friend Hui Su, who is suffering through a pain reminiscent of her own past.
Lee Yoo Mi portrays Hui Su, Eun Su’s friend caught in a relentless cycle of violence. Once a hopeful children’s book author, Hui Su’s life spirals into despair due to her abusive husband. Together with Eun Su, she plans to eliminate the source of her suffering by plotting to kill her husband.
Jang Seung Jo takes on the role of Jin Pyo, Hui Su’s husband, who poses a significant threat to both women.
Finally, Lee Moo Saeng plays Jin So Baek, the CEO of Jin Gang Company. Upon uncovering the women’s plan, he becomes a crucial ally, offering support and resources to aid them in their desperate situation.
