Actor Sung Hoon is making his return to television lead roles for the first time in three years.
MBNâs upcoming romantic comedy drama What a Boss Wants (scheduled to premiere this November) has officially cast Sung Hoon as the lead, marking his acting comeback following a period of quiet television activity and direct fan communication through short-form content.
Based on the popular Naver web novel and webtoon of the same name written by Chiccre, the series explores the “taste-targeting” romance between a zero-taste corporate boss searching for the mystery woman “Her” inside a music album, and an indie band vocalist who becomes the sole unpredictable variable in his algorithm.
Meet Kwon Do hyuk: A Cold AI Genius Driven by Data
Sung Hoon transforms into Kwon Do hyuk, the CEO of O Yes Entertainment and a brilliant AI researcher. As the sole heir to a chaebol family, Do hyuk possesses striking looks, an impressive physique, and an elite intellect.
Holding a doctorate in AI from MIT, Do hyuk is a razor-sharp realist who trusts data far more than human emotion. Living strictly by algorithms and logic, his sophisticated tastes lean exclusively toward classical music.
However, his calculated life takes a sudden left turn when his father orders him to take over and revitalize the struggling O Yes Entertainment. While developing an artificial intelligence project at the company, Do hyuk gets entangled with indie band vocalist Lee Eun chaeâcausing the first major error in his carefully calibrated world.
