SBS’s hit cider universe returns in full force as Flex X Cop 2 (ěŹë˛XíěŹ2) officially premieres tonight, August 7. Taking over the Friday-Saturday slot following the hit series Chief Kim, the 14-episode action drama raises the bar with bigger budgets, wilder crimes, and a dynamic partnership between Ahn Bo hyun and Jung Eun chae.

The second season launches right into the deep end with an improvised explosive device (IED) terror attack in Episode 1, spanning multiple genres from horror and mystery to dark noir. To tackle these dangerous threats, Jin Yi soo (Ahn Bo hyun) upgrades his “FLEX” investigation styleâdeploying private jets and orchestrating high-end real estate deals to corner suspects when standard police procedures hit a wall.

Now officially graduated from the police academy, Jin Yi soo returns as a true professional. While retaining his signature cheeky charm, quick wit, and vast network of elite contacts, Yi soo brings refined, seasoned detective skills to Violent Crimes Unit 1, setting the stage for Ahn Bo hyun to redefine his signature role.
3. Ahn Bo hyun and Jung Eun chae’s Bicker-to-Partner Dynamics
Jung Eun chae joins the unit as Ju Hye ra, a former counter-terrorism ace turned veteran team leader. Having previously met Yi soo as his “devil instructor” at the police academy, Hye ra brings sharp, cool-headed charisma that collides with Yi soo’s eccentric flair before evolving into an unstoppable partnership.
