The romance is heating up! The new JTBC drama “My Youth” is teasing a significant shift in the relationship between its leads, Sunwoo Hae (Song Joong Ki) and Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee). The story follows Sunwoo Hae, a man experiencing an ordinary life for the first time, and Sung Je Yeon, who is forced to disrupt her own peace for the sake of her career.
From Tentative to Tender
Previously, the two have shared a more reserved dynamic, but new stills from the upcoming episodes hint at a change. Sunwoo Hae, having decided not to hold back his feelings, begins to act much more openly toward Sung Je Yeon. In one image, he’s shown gently tucking her hair behind her ear, a simple yet intimate gesture that causes her to freeze. Her expression reveals a mix of surprise and conflicted emotions, hinting at a change in her own feelings.
Another set of stills captures a moment of physical closeness. As Sunwoo Hae teaches Sung Je Yeon how to properly hold a homi (a Korean hand plow), he smoothly takes her hand in his. While she appears flustered by the sudden contact, he looks completely at ease, naturally drawing closer to her. This contrast highlights his newfound confidence and her growing confusion.
Finally, a third still shows Sung Je Yeon smiling warmly at Sunwoo Hae, no longer looking away. This heart-fluttering change has fans wondering if his bold advances have finally melted her heart.
The production team of “My Youth” has confirmed that episodes 3 and 4 will focus on Sunwoo Hae’s pursuit and how it affects Sung Je Yeon, who will begin to waver. They have teased viewers to look forward to “the heart-fluttering changes in their relationship,” as well as the choices Sunwoo Hae makes after deciding not to postpone his feelings any longer.
Don’t miss the turning point in their romance! The third and fourth episodes of “My Youth” will air consecutively on September 12 starting at 8:50 p.m. KST.
