She then shifts the conversation to Raghav, questioning why he feels the need to go through with the engagement. In response, Padma highlights a crucial detail that Anjali seems to overlook: Raghav has mortgaged his house to gather the funds for the engagement. This revelation leaves Anjali stunned. Padma explains that Raghav plans to hand over the money on the day of the engagement, with the intention of reuniting the basti community. After some contemplation, Anjali agrees to this plan and acknowledges Padma’s point.
Meanwhile, Gini is lost in her thoughts, feeling emotional as she reflects on Abhay and Anjali’s impending wedding. She perceives the situation as a complete end to her hopes and dreams. Back at home, Anjali is consumed by similar feelings of despair, believing that everything is over. A maid attempts to serve Gini some food, but in her distraught state, Gini angrily throws the food away, unable to eat.
In another scene, Kavya inquires if Yuvraj plans to attend a party, to which he responds affirmatively. He mentions that he will be taking Mehek along with his entire family, and he adds that Ved and Aarti will also be present. Yuvraj reveals his malicious intentions, stating that he intends to humiliate Anjali to such an extent that she would wish for her own demise. Curious, Kavya asks about his plans, and Yuvraj elaborates that Damodar is sending over the mortgage papers, which will include Gini’s name. Once the mortgage is finalized, the Rajput family will be evicted from their mansion, allowing Gini and Damodar to manage the fallout without any further involvement from him.
Mehek approaches Yuvraj, seeking advice on what to wear for the party. Yuvraj reassures her that he will choose a dress for her and assist her in getting ready, telling her not to worry. Mehek expresses her agreement.
