Bloodhounds Season 2 Dominates Global Netflix Charts as Woo Do Hwan Battles Jung Ji Hoon
The adrenaline-pumping sequel to the hit action thriller, Bloodhounds Season 2, has officially taken over the streaming world. On the afternoon of April 9, 2026, lead actor Woo Do Hwan sat down for an exclusive interview in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss the massive success of the series and his experience working with the legendary Jung Ji Hoon (Rain).
A Global Phenomenon on Netflix

Since its release, Bloodhounds Season 2 has maintained its stronghold as the number one series in South Korea’s Top 10. The impact extends far beyond domestic borders, with the show securing the second spot on the Netflix Global Top 10 (Non-English) list.
In just three days of tracking, the series amassed an incredible 5 million views. It has successfully entered the Top 10 lists in 67 countries and regions, enjoying particularly explosive popularity in Singapore, the Philippines, France, and Belgium.
The Ultimate Showdown: Woo Do Hwan vs. Rain
In Bloodhounds Season 2, the heroic duo Geon Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi) return to strike another blow against the world of illegal finance. This time, they face their most formidable opponent yet: Baek Jeong, the operator of a global illegal boxing league where money and violence rule supreme.
Baek Jeong is played by global star Jung Ji Hoon, and Woo Do Hwan couldn’t hide his excitement about the casting. “When I heard that Jung Ji Hoon sunbae-nim was cast, I was thrilled,” Woo Do Hwan remarked. “The thought of fighting the ‘Ninja Assassin’ himself made me realize I had to prepare thoroughly.”
Praise for the Perfect Villain
Woo Do Hwan highlighted that the character of Baek Jeong is particularly intimidating because he is a “player” who gets directly involved in the action, rather than a villain who stays behind the scenes.
“I believe this was the best casting possible,” Woo Do Hwan emphasized. “He possesses an aura and a physical presence that can truly overwhelm the duo of Geon Woo and Woo Jin. I don’t think there is another actor in Korea with that kind of presence.”

He further expressed his admiration for the veteran’s legendary self-discipline. “His self-management is phenomenal; it makes me wonder if I can maintain that kind of condition ten years from now. For someone who grew up watching him, working together was a truly honorable experience.”
Directed and written by Kim Joo Hwan, Bloodhounds Season 2 continues to deliver the high-octane choreography and gritty storytelling that fans have come to expect, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of modern Korean action cinema.
