Dynamite Kiss Episode 12: Jang Ki‑yong & Ahn Eun‑jin Face Explosive Crisis as Ratings Soar

SBS’s midweek drama Dynamite Kiss continues to dominate the ratings race. According to Nielsen Korea, the December 18th broadcast of Episode 12 achieved a nationwide rating of 5.6%, with peak moments climbing to 6.2%. This marks six consecutive weeks as the No.1 weekday drama across all channels, proving once again the unwavering love viewers have for the series as it heads toward its finale.

Dynamite Kiss Episode 12 delivered a whirlwind of emotions. Go Darim, portrayed by Ahn Eun‑jin, found herself on the brink of exposure when Gong Ji‑hye (Jung Ga‑hee) produced a marriage certificate that could reveal her fraudulent employment. Although Ji‑hye chose to delay the revelation, Darim’s guilt weighed heavily on her. She feared that her deception may have robbed a truly qualified candidate of their rightful opportunity.

Unable to bear the burden, Darim submitted her resignation to Gong Ji‑hyuk, played by Jang Ki‑yong. Yet Ji‑hyuk refused to accept it, reminding her that the Mother TF Team had been formed from the lowest‑scoring applicants. Darim was the only one who refused to give up, and her perseverance had united the team and driven their successes. Recognizing her value, Ji‑hyuk entrusted the team with a new product development project, promising full‑time positions if they succeeded.

Determined to leave after the project, Darim confessed everything to her teammates—her fake employment, her guilt, and her love story with Ji‑hyuk. Rather than condemn her, the team embraced her honesty and rallied behind her. In a tender moment, Ji‑hyuk held Darim close, kissed her, and vowed never to let her run away again. Their romance blossomed further, with sweet dates and heartfelt exchanges that left viewers smiling.

But just as the Mother TF Team celebrated the completion of their prototype after sleepless nights of hard work, disaster struck. News broke that a rival company had released an identical product, shattering their joy. At that moment, Ji‑hyuk’s father Gong Chang‑ho (Choi Kwang‑il) stormed in with Ji‑hye. In a shocking confrontation, he slapped Darim across the face, demanding to know if she was indeed Go Darim. Witnessing his father strike the woman he loves ignited Ji‑hyuk’s fury, his blazing eyes closing out Episode 12 on a dramatic cliffhanger.

The preview for Episode 13 teased heartbreak, showing Darim seemingly choosing separation to protect Ji‑hyuk, while he gazed at her through tears. With only two episodes left, anticipation is at its peak. Will love conquer betrayal, family conflict, and corporate sabotage?
