SBS has unveiled the very first teaser for its upcoming fantasy romance drama No Tail to Tell, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The series promises a whimsical yet heartfelt journey, blending mythological magic with modern romance, and starring two of Korea’s most beloved rising talents—Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon.
Kim Hye Yoon takes on the role of Eun Ho, a quirky Gen Z gumiho (the legendary nine‑tailed fox) who is determined to resist the fate of becoming human. Unlike the traditional gumiho of folklore, Eun Ho is unapologetically modern, witty, and fiercely independent. Her dream is not to shed her tails but to embrace eternal life, free from the burdens of human hardship. Opposite her is Lomon as Kang Si Yeol, a world‑class soccer player whose confidence and charm make him the perfect foil to Eun Ho’s eccentricity. Together, they embark on a chaotic adventure filled with laughter, danger, and unexpected romance.
The teaser opens with Eun Ho confidently explaining her philosophy. “Living as a gumiho means that you get to enjoy only the fun things in life, without any hardship,” she declares, radiating satisfaction with her supernatural existence. Her words immediately set the tone for a character who refuses to conform to the traditional destiny of her kind.
Eun Ho then humorously outlines her personal “rules” for staying a gumiho. Good deeds are strictly forbidden—lest she accidentally transform into a human. Collecting livers, a gruesome hallmark of gumiho mythology, is also off the table. “What would I do with [a liver], anyway?” she scoffs, making it clear that she has no interest in harming humans. This playful rejection of dark folklore highlights Eun Ho’s unique personality and sets her apart from the gumiho archetype audiences may expect.
Her “secret business,” however, adds a mischievous twist. Eun Ho makes a living by granting the wishes of wealthy humans in exchange for payment, a sly nod to her cunning yet harmless way of navigating the human world. But her most important rule—the fourth and final one—is that flirting is absolutely forbidden. That boundary is quickly tested when she crosses paths with Kang Si Yeol.
Their chemistry crackles in the teaser. When Eun Ho incredulously asks if Kang Si Yeol is worrying about her, he responds with gentle sincerity: “Am I not allowed to worry about you?” The moment hints at the tender romance to come, as Eun Ho finds herself breaking her own “no dating” rule. The teaser crescendos with Eun Ho grasping Kang Si Yeol’s hand, asking him to reveal his wish—a gesture that symbolizes both temptation and transformation.
With its blend of fantasy, humor, and heartfelt romance, No Tail to Tell is shaping up to be one of SBS’s most anticipated dramas of the season. Kim Hye Yoon’s quirky take on a gumiho and Lomon’s charismatic portrayal of a soccer star promise a fresh spin on the classic myth, while the teaser leaves viewers eager to see how their chaotic journey unfolds.
No Tail to Tell will premiere soon on SBS, bringing audiences a magical love story where rules are broken, wishes are granted, and destiny is rewritten.
