The episode begins with Arshi telling Aniruddh that she spoke to Srishti and believes they should not continue living in the Bose house as long as Lalon is there. Aniruddh explains that Lalon owns a significant portion of the house and has no issues living with him. Arshi argues that Aniruddh speaks of Lalon as if he’s perfect. Aniruddh defends Lalon, saying that Lalon married the person he loved and is happily living with his family, suggesting he wishes he could be like that.
Arshi, feeling hurt, questions whether this means he regrets marrying her. Aniruddh insists she is overthinking things and reassures her that what matters is that Arshi is the mother of his baby. Arshi points out that he never says he loves her, implying that he is only with her because of their child. She expresses her frustration, worrying about a future in which Lalon could make demands of her. Aniruddh comforts her, stating that no one would expect her to do chores while she is pregnant. Meanwhile, Choton informs Tanuja that Bipasha has refused to assist her, signaling the end of their partnership. Laal decides to go out for breakfast with his colleague, taking Bipasha along. Apu warns Tanuja that Bipasha’s true nature is showing. As tension builds, Apu insists Tanuja make breakfast.
In another part of the house, Vihaan’s father tells Ketki to leave their family matters behind and enjoy the celebration of Uttarayan. Prachi urges Riddhi to take Priyanshi away, as Vihaan and his wife are arriving. Ketki instructs Prachi not to mention Vihaan’s wife, while the neighbors encourage Ketki to accept her. She firmly states that Vihaan’s wife must submit to her authority and declares that if Vihaan disagrees, he can leave. Prachi suggests that since Vihaan enjoys Ketki’s cooking, she should prepare a meal for him. The neighbors echo her sentiments, and Ketki admits she wants her daughters-in-law to Cook as well as she does.
Vinayak arrives home, where Srishti informs him that Arshi said Jhanak is missing. He sarcastically remarks that she must be pleased, blaming her for Jhanak’s disappearance. Srishti expresses her fear that Aniruddh might search for Jhanak, but Vinayak insists that won’t happen, reminding her that Aniruddh is now married. Back at the house, Vihaan’s father encourages Ketki to welcome Vihaan’s wife, but she refuses and tells Prachi to do it instead. The neighbors suggest that perhaps Ketki will come to like Vihaan’s wife, but Ketki remains skeptical about educated women. Vihaan’s father insists that she must consider how Vihaan, who’s coming home for a short visit, feels about this situation. Ketki reveals her hurt over not being able to choose a girl for Vihaan and missing his wedding, asserting her belief that just because his wife is from abroad doesn’t mean she will impress them.
As Riddhi announces Vihaan’s arrival, Ketki urges everyone to go meet him, while Vihaan’s father declares excitement to see his son. Ketki becomes emotional, prepares an aarti plate, and rushes to the door. Vihaan arrives, takes his mother’s blessings, then his father’s, before embracing Ketki.
Overwhelmed with tears, Ketki expresses her pain over Vihaan having distanced himself from his family because of his wife. Vihaan defends his wife, explaining that he wanted to return home two years ago. Ketki reminds him of his past actions and expresses her desire to meet her grandson, Ahaan.
