Actor Kim Woo Bin is set to star in tvN’s upcoming drama Gift, marking his first foray into a sports-themed series. Based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name, Gift tells the heartfelt story of a professional baseball coach who, after a tragic accident, gains extraordinary abilities and takes on the challenge of leading the struggling Dukcheon High School baseball team. The drama promises an intense, emotional season filled with passion, growth, and tears.

Kim Woo Bin will play Jung Min Yong, a former professional team coach who becomes the high school baseball team’s manager. Known for his kindness, Jung Min Yong never overlooks a single athlete, often treating his juniors to meals and prioritizing their growth and effort over immediate results. His daily routine includes analyzing games and writing detailed reports, reflecting his dedication to nurturing young talent.

Joining him in the lead role is actress Seo Eun Soo, who has been confirmed as the female protagonist. She will portray Yoon Seo Jin, a physical education teacher and head of the baseball club. This marks her first collaboration with Kim Woo Bin, and their on-screen chemistry is highly anticipated. Seo Eun Soo’s character will play a pivotal role in supporting Jung Min Yong and the team as they navigate challenges both on and off the field.

Seo Eun Soo, a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, debuted in 2016 with Jealousy Incarnate and has since built a diverse portfolio with roles in Romantic Doctor Kim Sabu and Chief Inspector 1958. Most recently, she impressed audiences in Disney+’s Made in Korea, where she transformed her image by playing investigator Oh Ye Jin, a bold departure from her earlier, softer roles. With her 10th anniversary as an actress this year, Seo Eun Soo is poised for a new breakthrough, balancing Gift with the confirmed production of Made in Korea Season 2, expected to release later this year.

Meanwhile, Kim Woo Bin continues his busy schedule, with Netflix’s Everything Will Come True set to premiere on February 3. Filming for Gift is scheduled to begin early next year, with the drama expected to air in 2026.
