The episode opens with Adit arriving home in high spirits, carrying colorful balloons and toys for his baby girl, eager to celebrate her arrival. However, as he steps inside, he notices that the house is unusually dark and quiet. Concerned, he calls out for Sowmya, but his voice echoes back unanswered. He then hears her voice coming from the nursery, where she is speaking softly to the baby. As he enters the room, he is taken aback by the sight before him: Sowmya is in distress, her face smeared with mud, and the atmosphere is heavy with sorrow.
Adit approaches Sowmya and takes the baby from her arms, only to realize with shock that it is a doll, not their real child. Overwhelmed by disbelief, he drops the balloons, and they burst upon hitting the ceiling fan, adding to the chaos of the moment. Anger wells up inside him as he confronts Sowmya, demanding to know what kind of cruel joke this is and where their baby girl is. In a heartbreaking moment, Sowmya breaks down, revealing the devastating truth: their daughter has died. She tells Adit that he can find their baby in the graveyard, and her words are punctuated by tears as she collapses into despair. Adit rushes to her side, holding her tightly as they both grapple with the weight of their loss.
Meanwhile, Akshat awakens to find himself surrounded by Mangal, Kusum, and his cousins. Mangal embraces him, relieved to see him awake. Akshat, still dazed, asks Mangal if she is alright, to which she reassures him that she is strong and completely fine. He expresses gratitude, saying he survived because of the protective charm (raksha kavach) she tied around his wrist. Neel, one of the cousins, chimes in, claiming that Akshat is now strong enough to win against anyone in the upcoming kite competition, even their father. When Akshat asks about his dad, Neel hesitates, but Mangal quickly intervenes, lying that their father has gone to the temple to thank God for Akshat’s recovery. Just then, Ishana calls Adit, urging him to come to the hospital.
Back at home, Adit’s phone vibrates on the table, snapping him out of his turmoil. He turns back to Sowmya, pressing her for answers and insisting that she stop lying about their baby. Sowmya weeps, expressing her wish that it were all a lie and blaming Mangal for their daughter’s death. She accuses Mangal of seeking revenge and claims that she could have taken her to the hospital or asked for help but chose not to. In her grief, she declares that she wants to die alongside her baby, prompting Adit to hold her close, trying to offer comfort amid the unbearable pain.
In another scene, Mangal arrives at the hospital to see Ishana, who questions what could be more important to Adit than Akshat’s well-being at that moment. Mangal explains that Adit went to meet his daughter, which she insists was also necessary. Ishana is clearly displeased with this response, feeling that Adit should be focused on Akshat.
Back at home, Adit tries to help Sowmya calm down by giving her some tablets. Sowmya pleads with him to stay by her side, stating that she has lost her baby. Adit agrees to remain with her, wanting to provide her the support she desperately needs.
Later, Mangal and Kusum return home, where Mangal mentions that she has prepared food for Akshat. Kusum suggests lighting a diya in the mandir, celebrating Akshat’s recovery and Sowmya’s new baby girl. However, Sowmya interrupts, insisting that no lamp should be lit in a house that has experienced such a tragedy. Mangal, confused, responds that Akshat is fine and questions why Sowmya would speak in such a way. Sowmya firmly states that her daughter is dead and accuses Mangal of being responsible for the tragedy.
Mangal defends herself, claiming that the baby was healthy at birth and questioning why Sowmya is blaming her. She recalls handing the baby over to the nurse after delivery. Sowmya counters that the nurse informed her of the baby’s death and accuses Mangal of failing to take her to the hospital, leading to the baby’s demise. Mangal is taken aback by the accusation, feeling the weight of Sowmya’s words as she remembers the moment she passed the baby to her.
In a fit of rage, Sowmya attempts to attack Mangal with a knife, but Adit intervenes just in time. Mangal tries to explain her actions to Adit, but he stops her, demanding to know why she didn’t take Sowmya to the hospital. Kusum steps in, defending Mangal by stating that she had asked Mangal to assist with the delivery since Sowmya was already in labor and that she had heard the baby cry. Adit, however, feels a deep sense of loss, lamenting that he never even got to see his baby, and he accuses Mangal of wrongdoing before taking Sowmya inside.
Mangal is left alone, overwhelmed by the accusations hurled at her. As she reflects on the situation, doubts begin to creep in regarding Sowmya’s claims, particularly since she vividly remembers a healthy baby girl being born.
Later, Adit tries to coax Sowmya into eating something, but she is inconsolable. She cries, expressing that he allowed her to stay in the house for the sake of the baby, and now that the baby is gone, she feels she has no reason to remain. Adit comforts her, trying to reassure her amidst the turmoil.
Meanwhile, Akshat inquires about his father from Shanti, who tells him that Adit will be home soon. Mangal enters with food for Akshat, but he insists that he will only eat if his father is present. When Mangal steps outside, she breaks down in tears, feeling the weight of the situation. Shanti tries to console her, reminding her not to blame herself, insisting that she saved both Sowmya and the baby, and if the baby has died, it is not her fault.
In the preview for the next episode, Mangal confronts Sowmya, taunting her by revealing that despite Sowmya’s accusations of her being responsible for the baby’s death, the baby is actually alive. Sowmya questions who would believe Mangal, leading to a confrontation with Lakshmi, who warns Sowmya not to underestimate the bond between sisters. This sets the stage for further conflict and revelations in the unfolding drama.
