Mangal Lakshmi 3rd December 2025 Written Update

The episode begins with Mangal experiencing acute restlessness, unable to fall asleep as she continually recalls Bhabhi Ji’s recent advice: that it is now time for Mangal to prioritize her own needs and well-being. She is acutely aware that the following day marks the final round of the competition, a significant day, and she realizes she still has a multitude of arrangements left to complete. Mangal gets up, drinks some water, and decides to take her prescribed medicine. Due to her currently blurry vision, she enters the washroom to wash her hands before taking the medication.

Meanwhile, Sowmya enters the room with malicious intent and stealthily swaps Mangal’s medicine bottle with one containing rat poison, firmly determined to murder her. She thinks with a chilling resolve that Mangal will certainly die tonight. Just as Sowmya is about to make her escape, Mangal opens the bathroom door and steps out. Mangal, still struggling with her vision, fails to notice Sowmya even though she is standing in close proximity. Sowmya manages to quietly slip out of the room undetected.

Mangal returns to the bedside and picks up the rat poison bottle. She notices a strange, unusual smell but, operating under the assumption that it is her regular medicine, she prepares to consume the tablets. As she lies down, a feeling of suffocation begins to creep over her.

At this point, the scene shifts, revealing that Sowmya was merely imagining this horrifying scenario and feeling a sense of wicked delight in her fantasy. In reality, Mangal has not yet ingested the poison. Mangal notices that the window is open and the wind is blowing into the room. She slowly gets up to close it. She then resumes her search for her medicine, picks up the rat poison tablets, and is just about to swallow them when Kusum appears at the door at the precise moment and rushes to stop her.

Kusum demands to know why Mangal was about to take rat poison, stating that if she hadn’t arrived when she did, Mangal would have been in grave danger. Mangal explains that her medicines are always kept in that spot and she genuinely assumed the bottle contained her medication. Kusum is left perplexed, wondering who could have placed rat poison inside Mangal’s room. Sowmya, who is secretly watching the entire interaction, becomes visibly stressed by the near-miss. Mangal dismisses Kusum’s worries, suggesting that perhaps a worker mistakenly placed the poison there. Sowmya tries to leave the area quietly, but her saree fabric snags momentarily. Kusum tells Mangal that despite all the harm Sowmya has inflicted upon her, Mangal risked her own life to save her, confirming Mangal’s special and good nature. Sowmya manages to conceal herself completely before Kusum can turn and see her.

Adit is engaged in a phone conversation with Bhabhi Ji, confirming that he will send her the presentation shortly. Sowmya arrives and immediately questions Adit about who Bhabhi Ji is. Adit quickly covers up, offering a fabricated excuse. Sowmya, seeking conflict, creates a scene, passionately accusing him and his mother of caring only for Mangal and completely neglecting her. Adit reminds her sharply that both she and their unborn baby are safe only because of Mangal’s intervention. Sowmya dismisses this, arguing that the baby is theirs, and then scolds him for failing to buy her a gift after the whole ordeal. When Adit asks what she would like, Sowmya audaciously demands a necklace worth ₹7 lakh. Adit protests that this amount is difficult to afford but ultimately agrees to her demand. He thinks to himself that even a ₹7,000 gift is a stretch with his current salary, a financial reality Sowmya is completely unaware of. He then leaves the room.

Sowmya decides that she should abandon any further attempts to harm Mangal, fearing that she might get caught. She rationalizes that since Mangal is already unwell, she may not be able to participate in the final cooking competition anyway.

Mangal attempts to administer eye drops to herself but struggles due to her impaired vision. Kusum arrives again and gently assists her. She also presents Mangal with a bowl of gajar ka halwa (carrot pudding) and instructs her not to open her eyes for the next fifteen minutes before leaving the room.

Neil enters Mangal’s room and sees that she cannot clearly see him. He seizes the opportunity to steal money from her bag and even brazenly dances in front of her, thinking she cannot identify him. Just as he is about to make his escape, Mangal quickly grabs his ear, stopping him in his tracks. Neil drops the stolen money in surprise and asks how she managed to catch him when she is unable to see. Mangal reveals that she is not completely blind and saw him stealing. She advises him sternly not to pursue the wrong path in life. Neil defends his actions, saying he desperately needs money. Mangal tells him that she will gladly help him if his intentions are honest but warns him never to resort to stealing again. Neil agrees and leaves. Mangal reflects that she must work to guide Neil onto the right and moral path. She checks the time—it is 12:30—and resolves to reach the competition venue promptly.

At the final competition venue, Sowmya tells Bhabhi Ji that she is confident Mangal will not show up, and even if she does, she won’t be in any condition to cook. She urges the judges to start the finale immediately. Bhabhi Ji calmly responds that, unlike Sowmya, they can afford to wait for Mangal’s arrival. Sowmya argues that Mangal is visually impaired and asks how she expects to cook in that state. As she speaks and gestures emphatically, her hand accidentally hits a glass bowl. At that exact moment, Mangal arrives and manages to quickly catch the glass jar just before it hits the floor, preventing it from shattering.

Precap: The episode closes with the highly anticipated arrival of Dilip and Farah Khan, who have come to serve as the esteemed judges for the finale of the Pehla Swad competition.
