The images reveal Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon) and Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon) embarking on their second mountain expedition, where they encounter a mysterious woman who bears a striking resemblance to Geum-ho, a legendary figure from centuries past. This enigmatic character is portrayed by Lee Si-woo, sparking curiosity about her true identity.

In the previous episode, Eun-ho became human after saving Kang Si-yeol’s life, losing her spiritual powers in the process. This transformation left Si-yeol without a way to alter his fate with Hyun Woo-seok (played by Jang Dong-joo). Convinced that another gumiho exists, Si-yeol set out with Eun-ho to search for it on Mount Seorak. The episode ended with a shocking twist, as Eun-ho’s subconscious memory revealed an image of Si-yeol stabbing her in the chest, leaving viewers stunned.

Episode 5 intensifies the suspense as Eun-ho and Si-yeol, fully equipped for the climb, deliberately stage a situation of distress in hopes of drawing out the gumiho. As they wander through the darkened forest, a woman carrying a lantern appears before them. With her youthful face, serene aura, and traditional attire, she stands apart from ordinary hikers. Most strikingly, she has the face of Geum-ho, a gumiho who once became human but met a tragic end centuries ago. Eun-ho’s gaze reflects a mix of shock and sorrow, hinting at the emotional weight of the encounter.

The production team commented, “Please pay close attention to the mysterious woman who appears before Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol. Whether she is human, gumiho, or the reincarnation of Geum-ho, her veiled identity will play a decisive role in the unfolding story.”

With its blend of fantasy, mystery, and emotional depth, No Tail To Tell continues to intrigue viewers as Eun-ho and Si-yeol’s journey grows more perilous. Episode 5 will air on January 30 at 9:50 PM on SBS.
