“Slowly and Intensely,” starring Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo Begins Shoot!

The highly anticipated historical K-drama “Slowly and Intensely,” starring Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo, has officially commenced filming. According to an exclusive report from Star News, production began on January 12.

Set in the broadcasting industry during the 1960s and 1970s, the drama explores the lives of stars and the individuals behind their success. Directed by Lee Yoon Jung, known for her work on “Cheese in the Trap” and “Coffee Prince,” this series marks the third collaboration between Song Hye Kyo and writer Noh Hee Kyung, following “The World That They Live In” (2008) and “That Winter, the Wind Blows” (2013).

The project is particularly noteworthy as it unites two of the biggest names in Hallyu, generating considerable excitement among fans. Recently, Song Hye Kyo appeared on the YouTube channel Fairy Jae Hyung, explaining her decision to cut her hair short for this upcoming period drama, which is penned by Noh Hee Kyung.

“Slowly and Intensely” is a collaborative effort between Studio Dragon and GTist. Although it was initially thought to be a Netflix original, the streaming platform has stated to Star News that “nothing has been confirmed yet.”
