JTBC’s highly anticipated historical action blockbuster The Sacred Jewel has officially unveiled its intense first teaser trailer, offering a chilling preview of a nation on the brink of total collapse.
Set in 1258 during the height of the 30-year Mongol invasion of Goryeo, the epic series follows an elite transport unit risking everything on the battlefield to retrieve a sacred relic that could turn the tide of war, alongside a royal princess determined to save them.

A Nation Splattered in Blood: Teaser Breakdown
The high-octane teaser opens with a heavy, pulsating drumbeat and a solemn narration by Baek Gyeol (played by Ahn Bo hyun): “In the early 13th century, the global Mongol Empire invaded Goryeo.”
From there, the video plunges viewers straight into a bloody, chaotic nightmare—crumbling fortress walls, falling soldiers, and relentless hand-to-hand combat. The absolute horrors of war are laid bare as Choi Goo (Lee Sung min), the legendary commander of Goryeo’s elite special forces unit Yabyeolcho, collapses on the battlefield amidst the carnage.
With the nation’s survival hanging by a thread, a desperate royal decree is issued to retrieve the Gwaneum Boju—a sacred holy orb capable of altering the fate of the war.
Leading the perilous mission is Baek Gyeol, surrounded by a band of desperate heroes including the veteran warrior Choi Goo and a sharp-eyed guide monk (Ha Yoon경). Meanwhile, Princess Gyeonghwa Prince Wang Hee (Claudia Kim / Sue Hyun), the Emperor’s youngest daughter, finds herself swept directly into the eye of the storm.
