Later, he fell in love with Aarti, but she too has left him, leading him to feel that he can either have his mother or Aarti, but not both.
In a moment of vulnerability, Ved turns to Aarti and asks her if she still loves him. Aarti, after a brief pause, admits that she does love him, but adds a painful caveat: they cannot marry. This revelation leaves Ved in shock, grappling with the weight of her words.
At that moment, Ved receives a call from Kali. She tells him that if she is correct, he should stay with Aarti. Ved agrees, feeling hopeful. However, Kali then instructs him to tell Aarti that they can never be together. Ved firmly refuses, declaring his love for Aarti and his commitment to being with her. Kali, undeterred, warns him that she will not allow their relationship to continue. When Ved presses her on what she plans to do, Kali cryptically mentions that during this Navratri, a lawyer has promised her that Ved will only belong to her, after which she abruptly hangs up.
