The episode begins with Ved sitting alone in a bar, drinking heavily as he reflects on his troubled past, particularly his feelings for Aarti. His mind is clouded with sorrow, and he seems lost in his thoughts. Just then, Aarti walks into the bar, her expression filled with concern. She approaches Ved and urges him to stop drinking, questioning why he is choosing to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Ved, visibly distressed, responds that he feels trapped with no real choice left. He shares his painful history, explaining that he once loved his mother deeply, but she passed away, leaving a void in his life. Later, he fell in love with Aarti, but she too has left him, leading him to feel that he can either have his mother or Aarti, but not both.
In a moment of vulnerability, Ved turns to Aarti and asks her if she still loves him. Aarti, after a brief pause, admits that she does love him, but adds a painful caveat: they cannot marry. This revelation leaves Ved in shock, grappling with the weight of her words.
At that moment, Ved receives a call from Kali. She tells him that if she is correct, he should stay with Aarti. Ved agrees, feeling hopeful. However, Kali then instructs him to tell Aarti that they can never be together. Ved firmly refuses, declaring his love for Aarti and his commitment to being with her. Kali, undeterred, warns him that she will not allow their relationship to continue. When Ved presses her on what she plans to do, Kali cryptically mentions that during this Navratri, a lawyer has promised her that Ved will only belong to her, after which she abruptly hangs up. Aarti, having overheard part of the conversation, asks Ved what Kali said. Ved explains that Kali mentioned a lawyer supporting her, but he is unaware of the lawyer’s identity.
Soon after, Aarti receives a call from her mother, Anjali. Anjali demands that Aarti return home immediately. When Aarti inquires about the urgency, Anjali reveals that she knows Aarti is with Ved. This shocks Aarti, who asks how Anjali found out. Anjali, with a hint of authority, reminds Aarti that she is her mother. Ved takes the phone from Aarti, pleading with Anjali not to interfere in their relationship, insisting that he and Aarti love each other and that his marriage was a sham. Anjali challenges him, stating that he will have to prove this in court. She orders Aarti to come home right away and hangs up, leaving Aarti feeling conflicted. She reassures Ved that she will convince her mother and prays to the Goddess for their union before leaving the bar.
Meanwhile, Padma confronts Anjali, questioning her interference in Aarti’s life and claiming that the marriage was indeed fake. Anjali, however, stands her ground, asserting that her morals compel her to support Kali and protect her daughter from potential harm.
In a different setting, Mehek informs Raghav that Anjali will be opposing them in court, a revelation she just learned from Yuvraj. Bhajan emphasizes the need for urgency in their actions. Sadhika proposes a plan: if they can arrange for Aarti to marry Ved, they can thwart Anjali’s efforts. Just then, Mehek receives a call from Yuvraj, who pretends to be upset about Anjali’s refusal to back down. He claims he approached Anjali to ask her to withdraw the case for Mehek’s sake, but she insulted him and sent him away. Sadhika, incensed by this, vows to retaliate against Anjali. She declares that while Raghav will handle the court case, they will outsmart Anjali by ensuring Aarti marries Ved outside of court. Yuvraj agrees to this plan.
Later, Anjali prepares for court, donning her black lawyer’s coat. As she reflects on her past with Aman, she recalls the tragic accident caused by Yuvraj that resulted in Aman’s death and left her paralyzed for 21 years. Struggling to maintain her composure, she is suddenly confronted by Aarti. Anjali scolds Aarti for meeting Ved despite her warnings. Aarti, standing her ground, defends her actions by expressing her love for Ved, drawing a parallel to Anjali’s own feelings for her father. Anjali dismisses Aarti’s love as “najayaz” (illegitimate), insisting that Ved’s marriage to Kali is legitimate and that they are indeed husband and wife. Aarti counters that their marriage is not real, citing Padma’s confirmation of its falseness. Anjali, however, insists that the law will ultimately decide their fates. Aarti retorts, questioning which law Anjali refers to—the same law that failed to deliver justice for her father and left Anjali paralyzed for over two decades? She warns Anjali not to forget that painful truth.
In the precap, Kali is taken aback when she learns that Anjali will be representing the opposing side in the case. She confronts Anjali, demanding to know why she is involved. Anjali responds firmly, declaring that she will not allow injustice to occur before her eyes and reaffirms her commitment as a true devotee of the law.
Meanwhile, Sadhika tells Aarti that if she truly wants to be with Ved, they will arrange for her marriage to him. Aarti, concerned about her mother’s disapproval, asks what will happen if Anjali disagrees. Sadhika reminds her that while Anjali is fighting for Kali, her own lawyer will be Raghav Singh Rajput, hinting at the complexities that lie ahead.
