Get ready to see some familiar faces on this week’s episodes of “Confidence Queen”! The new drama, a Korean adaptation of the 2018 Japanese hit “The Confidence Man JP,” is set to feature special appearances by Lee Yi Kyung and Rowoon in its upcoming third and fourth episodes.
The series follows a team of three brilliant con artists who use elaborate scams to target various villains. The team is led by Yoon Yi Rang (Park Min Young), a genius with an IQ of 165. She’s joined by James (Park Hee Soon), a charming master of disguise, and Myung Gu Ho (Joo Jong Hyuk), the youngest member of the group.
Lee Yi Kyung Reunites with Park Min Young
In a delightful reunion, Lee Yi Kyung will make a special appearance as Yoo Myung Han, a famous art critic and the primary villain of Episodes 3 and 4. His cameo came about due to his recent on-screen chemistry with Park Min Young in the popular drama “Marry My Husband.”
Lee Yi Kyung shared his excitement about the reunion, stating, “I wound up making a special appearance in ‘Confidence Queen’ because of my connection to Park Min Young. Thanks to our previous experience working together for ‘Marry My Husband,’ we were able to maintain great chemistry and have fun during filming this time as well.” He also noted that despite the long hours, the cast and crew’s warm welcome made the filming enjoyable.
He humorously added, “In ‘Marry My Husband,’ I was a cruel husband to Park Min Young. Please look forward to finding out what kind of chemistry Park Min Young and I will have in ‘Confidence Queen.’”
Rowoon Joins the Fun
Rowoon will also be making a cameo, thanks to his connection with director Nam Ki Hoon, who he previously worked with on the drama “Destined With You.” In his role, Rowoon will portray a manager and showcase his on-screen chemistry with actor Park Hee Soon. According to the production team, Rowoon’s presence brought a lively energy to the set from the moment he arrived.
