Katha Ankahee 24th July 2023 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Viaan receiving a call from Aarav, who tells him that he has found a special friend for his mother from her circle, who turns out to be her boss. Aarav refers to him as chikchik uncle and believes that his mother likes him a lot. Viaan suggests that Aarav spends time with him and tries to like him too. Aarav thanks Viaan for the advice and decides to make the boss a significant figure in Katha’s life, similar to Robin in Batman’s life. Later, Aarav makes excuses to Katha in order to obtain her boss’s phone number. Katha tells him to call after school as her boss is busy during the day. Aarav thinks to himself that he lied, but he did it for Katha.
Meanwhile, Viaan sees his mother exercising vigorously and tries to calm her down. The maid informs him that she hasn’t been eating properly for the past three days. Viaan expresses his concern for her health and mentions that her anxiety medication won’t work well if she doesn’t eat well. He assures her that he will always be there for her, but she reveals her struggle to get over certain memories and requests a break. She asks Viaan to accompany her on a vacation. In a flashback, it is shown that Katha was insecure about Viaan being close to Katha and Vanya, so her friend suggested taking a trip away from Mumbai.
Viaan contemplates about Katha, Aarav, and Vanya when his mother suggests a two-week vacation in Paris. Eventually, he agrees to her wish after she emotionally pleads with him and talks about Maya being fond of Viaan too. Viaan then goes to Katha’s cabin and tells her that he has something to say, but hesitates. Katha asks if he’s trying to make her spill something again, but he clarifies that he has come to say something. Viaan informs her about his Paris trip. Katha says it’s good for him to have a change of scenery. Viaan insists that he doesn’t need a break and leaves, making an excuse.
Vanya asks Viaan if he’s prepared for the Paris trip, to which he informs her about making an appointment for Seema. Vanya hugs him and expresses her gratitude for his support. The staff assures Viaan that Katha will manage everything, allowing him not to worry about work. Katha and Viaan exchange glances but fail to say anything to each other. Vanya requests to work together on a presentation with her boss, but he dismisses the idea and instructs her to send him the pointers instead. Upset with his attitude, she walks out of the office.
Aarav calls his chikchik uncle and Vanya joins him in the conversation. Aarav asks if he likes Vanya, but the boss misunderstands and believes that Aarav is referring to him liking Vanya. He denies it. Aarav then realizes that he misunderstood and that Katha’s boss is not her special friend. Later, Viaan asks Katha if they should have dinner together and she agrees, saying that she was thinking the same thing. Viaan offers to text her the restaurant’s name. However, at the same time, Viaan’s mother calls him and asks him to have dinner together. Viaan declines, saying that he has plans with Katha. The episode ends.
In the next episode preview, Viaan is captivated by Katha’s appearance in a saree and anticipates that she will tell him something memorable that night. However, their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Katha’s in-laws.
