Sheetal Maulik of ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin” Fame Joins ‘Barsatein’
Sheetal Maulik, previously known for her role as Sonali Chavan in the television series ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein’, is thrilled to be part of the cast of ‘Barsatein – Mausam Pyar Ka’. In this new show, she will be portraying the character of Neeta Khurana, Simba Nagpal’s mother.
Expressing her excitement, she stated, “I am really looking forward to being a part of this show, and my character, Neeta Khurana, is quite interesting and multi-dimensional. As an actor, I have been waiting for such a challenging role. Neeta is not the typical character we usually see in TV dramas. She is completely different – serious, dominant, and focused on her goals.”
Sheetal expressed her belief that being typecast is a significant hurdle for actors working on television. She expressed her satisfaction with her current role, as it is completely distinct from her past characters. In this role, she has the opportunity to wear fashionable outfits, which aligns more with her personal style. She acknowledged that her previous characters, often dressed in saris, may have made it difficult for viewers to perceive her as a modern character. She eagerly anticipated breaking this mold and hoped it would open up new opportunities for her in the future, including projects on digital platforms.
