Shiv Shakti 16th January 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode opens with a tense situation where Narayan tries to dissuade Shiv from granting Kartikeya’s boon. He says that he will talk to Kartikeya and make him see reason. Narad agrees and says that Kartikeya’s request is a result of his immaturity and impulsiveness. Kartikeya, however, insists that he has thought carefully about his boon and that he wants Shiv to grant it. He says that he does not want to stay even for a second in Kailash, the abode of Shiv and Parvati. Everyone is shocked and saddened by his words.
Shiv tells Kartikeya that he is obliged to give him the boon as he has performed the aarti ritual. He is about to pronounce the boon when Parvati intervenes and says that she also has a right to ask for a boon as she also participated in the aarti. She says that her boon is that Shiv should not fulfill Kartikeya’s wish. Kartikeya is stunned and angry by this. He argues that he asked for the boon first and that he should get it first.
Narayan tells Shiv that he cannot grant both Kartikeya and Parvati’s boons as they are contradictory and cancel each other out. He says that both boons have serious implications for the family and the universe.
Shiv tells Parvati and Kartikeya that they have to decide among themselves who will get the boon. He says that he will grant the wish of the person who comes to him before the sunset and leaves. Narayan tells Kartikeya that he hopes he will make the right decision before the sunset and leaves. Parvati asks Kartikeya what she can do to make him understand her love for him. She says that she knows he thinks she sinned by separating him from her when he was a baby. She asks him how long he will punish her for that.
Kartikeya tells Surupa, his foster mother, that he is hungry. Surupa tells Kartikeya that this is Kailash and that it belongs to Parvati. She says that he should ask Parvati for food and leaves. Nandi, Shiv’s loyal follower, tells Parvati to make kheer, a sweet dish, for Kartikeya. Parvati says that kheer is Kartikeya’s favorite dish and she goes to make it. Kartikeya tells himself that Shiv will scold him no matter what he does, so he should keep quiet. He decides that he will not eat the kheer, no matter how tempting it is.
The episode shifts to another scene where Shankchur remembers what Tulsi and Diti said to him. He tells Tulsi that he cannot disobey Diti, who is his mother and the queen of the asuras. Tulsi begs him to not start a war with the gods, as it will only bring destruction and sorrow. He does not know what to say to her. She tells him that he does not have to give her any boon if he is not able to. She tells him that she loves him and supports him no matter what. She is about to go inside their palace, but he stops her and makes a vow on her that he will not participate in the war, except for the one that is against Shiv. He tells her that he wants to avenge his father’s death, who was killed by Shiv. She tells him that she will stand by him and protect him in that war.
Parvati tells Shiv that she prepared kheer, a sweet dish, for Kartikeya, their son. She says that the Kritikaas, the six mothers who raised Kartikeya, offered the kheer to Kartikeya, but he refused to eat it. She asks Shiv to persuade Kartikeya to eat the kheer, as it is his favorite dish and a sign of her love for him.
Precap – Shiv manages to make Kartikeya eat the kheer. Parvati is overjoyed to see this.
