Chand Jalne Laga 16th January 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with a dramatic scene where Malik pleads with Jyothi to accept him as her son. He tells her that he has been longing for her love and recognition all his life. Prakash, who claims to be Jyothi’s husband, interrupts them and demands to know what is happening. He says that Jyothi is his wife and she cannot give her surname to anyone else without his consent. He accuses Malik of trying to snatch his wife away from him. Malik retorts that Prakash has no right to call himself Jyothi’s husband.
He says that Prakash is the one who separated him from his mother when he was a child and deprived him of his true identity. He asks Jyothi to make a decision now and not to be afraid of anyone. He asks her if she is willing to give him her surname and acknowledge him as her son. Jyothi nods her head in agreement, shocking Prakash. She tells him that this is the happiest moment of her life and that nothing can compare to the joy of being a mother. She says that as a woman, she has always been dependent on her father and then her husband, but now she has a son who will carry her surname and her legacy.
She hugs Malik and expresses her happiness. Prakash scolds her and tries to stop her, but Jyothi says that she does not care about him. She says that the only thing she can give to Malik is her surname and no one can prevent her from doing so. She shares her happiness with Deva, who is also Malik’s brother. She smiles at Tara, who is Malik’s wife, and wipes Deva’s tears. Tara tells her that she has given a new life to Malik by accepting him as her son. She says that she is proud of her for being such a brave and loving mother.
Tara asks Jyothi to perform an arathi, a ritual of offering a lamp to Malik, as a sign of blessing and respect. Jyothi does so and prays for Malik’s well-being and happiness. Tara tells Malik that he has finally got his identity and his mother. She says that he is no longer the same Deva who was lost and lonely. She says that he will achieve everything he wants in his life. Prakash leaves the scene in anger and frustration.
Malik is about to touch Jyothi’s feet to seek her blessing, but Jyothi stops him and asks him to take the blessing of both her and Tara. She says that they are both his mothers and they both love him equally. Jyothi blesses Malik and Tara and wishes them a happy life. Nana, who is Jyothi’s father, congratulates them and says that he is happy to see his grandson. Savithri, who is Prakash’s mother, also asks them to touch her feet and says that she is the one who named Malik as Dev Jyothi.
She says that they should celebrate this occasion and welcome Dev Jyothi into the family. Madhav, who is Savithri’s son and Prakash’s brother, tells Savithri that she had a different plan in mind, but things turned out differently. Savithri assures him that everything will go according to her plan eventually. Later, Tara thanks God for giving Deva a family and a mother. She says that she is grateful for Jyothi’s kindness and generosity.
The episode continues with Savithri entering the scene and telling Tara that she is the only one who can do this. Tara expresses her gratitude to Savithri for accepting Malik as her son and giving him her surname. Savithri tells her that she has fulfilled her wish and now it is Tara’s turn to keep her word. Tara tells her that she has not forgotten her promise and that she will surely honor it. She asks her to tell her what she wants. Savithri tells her that Tara’s only concern is Deva’s happiness and that she has done everything for his sake. But she says that Tara is not the source of his happiness and that he will never be happy with her in his life.
Tara is shocked and asks her what she means. Savithri demands her to leave Malik’s life and go away from him. Tara refuses to do so and says that he is her husband and that she cannot leave him. Savithri says that their marriage is not valid and that he only married her to take revenge on her for their past. She says that he is haunted by their past and that he cannot move on from it. Tara says that the past is over and that he has changed. She says that he will accept her and that her love will change him. Savithri says that the seven rounds they took around the fire are not more important than the mother who carried him for nine months in her womb.
Savithri adds that they are not even living in the same room and that they cannot have a happy life together. She asks her to make a decision and tells her that she only has three hours left. Malik comes there and asks them what is happening. Savithri manages to lie to him and tells him that they were just talking about his happiness. Tara lights a lamp and shares her sorrow with God. She tells Preethi, her friend, what happened and how Savithri asked her to leave Malik’s life. She cries and Preethi consoles her.
