The episode begins with a little girl accidentally splashing frooty on Vikrant’s face and hand, making him angry. Ayush notices Vikrant’s change and asks Rishi to observe it as well. Saloni manages to calm Vikrant down and tells him that Lakshmi’s name has been wiped off the mehendi. Rishi, witnessing this, comments that nothing good can happen to bad people. Rishi then teases Vikrant about the mehendi resembling the letter S, which happens to be the initial of his wife Sarika. Saloni and Malishka are shocked by Rishi’s words and wonder if he has discovered the truth.
Vikrant warns Rishi not to cross his limits, while Saloni pleads with Rishi to avoid humiliating them and spoiling the mehendi function. Malishka urges Rishi not to provoke Neelam with his actions and suggests they leave. However, Rishi asks them to wait and reiterates to Vikrant that he should not dream of marrying Lakshmi before leaving. Vikrant scolds the little girl and sends her away.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi witnesses the little girl in tears and asks her what happened. The girl shares how Vikrant was scolded for ruining his mehendi and questions why Lakshmi is marrying him. She mentions that Vikrant made her cry and predicts that he will make Lakshmi cry too. The girl wonders why Lakshmi’s father chose an angry groom for her. A tear falls from Lakshmi’s eye onto her mehendi, and she misses her father. The little girl apologizes to Lakshmi, who insists it’s not her fault and sends her back to her mother.
Rishi approaches Lakshmi and explains that God doesn’t want her to marry Vikrant, which is why her mehendi got wiped off. He points out that Vikrant’s name has also been wiped off her hand. Shalu remarks that Lakshmi’s tears caused the smudging as she missed their father. Rishi confidently states that the truth will prevail, and he will win, resulting in the cancellation of the marriage. He leaves, and Shalu looks at the mehendi, observing that it now resembles the letter R, which stands for Rishi. Lakshmi reflects on Neelam’s words.
Saloni tries to comfort Vikrant, but he refuses to listen. Malishka scolds Vikrant and advises him not to get caught up in his anger. Shalu and Bani assure Lakshmi that Rishi is her destiny, not Vikrant.
Ayush asks Shalu and Bani why Lakshmi is upset, and Shalu tells him to look at her mehendi. Ayush realizes that the letter V has transformed into an R miraculously. Shalu explains how it happened, and Ayush believes it to be a sign from God. Lakshmi asks Ayush and Shalu to leave and eat something.
Vikrant approaches Lakshmi and insists on seeing her mehendi. Lakshmi hides her mehendi, not wanting any drama. She tries to dismiss Vikrant with the help of Shalu, but he persists. Eventually, she shows her other hand to Vikrant. Saloni calls out for Vikrant, leading him to leave.
In her room, Lakshmi attempts to wipe off the R from her mehendi, but it does not go away. Shalu comforts Lakshmi, telling her that while she may be able to remove the R physically, she cannot erase it from her destiny. Shalu tries to convince Lakshmi that she is making a decision to marry Vikrant with her mind and not her heart. However, Lakshmi insists that her decision is based on her heart and not her mind. Shalu reminds Lakshmi of her inner strength and suggests that the R is a sign from God. Lakshmi comments that Malishka will also have Rishi’s name on her hand, indicating that it is also a sign from God. She claims to be happy marrying Vikrant, and Shalu shows her a mirror, questioning her true happiness. Despite this, Lakshmi affirms that she is genuinely happy.
Later, Anjana tells Neelam that they are leaving and mentions that Lakshmi will be their daughter-in-law in a few hours. Saloni remarks that she can’t wait to see the intensity of red in Lakshmi’s mehendi. Vikrant agrees, and his family takes their leave. Rano also informs Neelam that they will depart and Virendra arranges for their driver to drop them off.
