Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has witnessed Akshara facing an unexpected situation, where Abhir becomes insecure upon the arrival of another baby. Abhir strongly opposes the idea of Akshara having another child and rebels against it. This puts Akshara in a dilemma, unsure of what to do. Despite having support from Abhimanyu, she contemplates the option of abortion and even takes steps towards it.

In the upcoming episode, Akshara goes ahead with her abortion but becomes apprehensive about harming both her own child and Abhinav’s. Eventually, it is Abhimanyu who intervenes and stops Akshara. Finding comfort in Abhimanyu’s understanding, she admits that she couldn’t go through with the abortion as she remembered his advice.

Abhimanyu comes to the realization that he cannot be happy while living in the Birla household, as Manjiri will always dictate her son’s future. Consequently, he decides to move out of the Birla house. Abhimanyu packs his belongings and informs his mother that he is leaving in order to find happiness with Akshara.
