Katha Ankahee 23rd August 2023 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Ehsan introducing a jeweller to Viaan, claiming that he can provide a unique ring for him. Viaan, however, expresses that no one can compare to Katha and he wants something truly special. The jeweller proceeds to explain the features of various diamonds, but Viaan is dissatisfied and feels they are not suitable for Katha. Ehsan reassures Viaan that Katha doesn’t expect extravagant gems like diamonds, rubies, or emeralds, urging him not to worry. Suddenly, Viaan’s attention is caught by a ring with a hidden story, and he decides to purchase it, surprising the jeweller. Ehsan smiles knowingly.
Meanwhile, Katha is occupied with organizing the food arrangements for their guests. Viaan video calls her, requesting to meet for a few minutes. Before Katha can respond, Neerja interjects and playfully taunts the couple for relying on modern technology to bend the traditional customs. She advises Viaan to wait until evening to meet Katha before abruptly ending the call. Viaan becomes upset by the unexpected interruption.
The Garewals are busy preparing for a gathering and they all appear to be happy. Teji and Farah show up with Viaan, and Ehsan warmly welcomes them, leading to Teji and Farah playfully teasing him. Meanwhile, Katha and Viaan exchange glances while the families interact. Vanya approaches Teji, prompting both Teji and Farah to give her angry looks. Katha and Viaan quickly intervene and diffuse the situation. Viaan becomes worried, but Vanya signals to him that she is okay.
Kailash commends Viaan for handling the situation well. Aarav arrives and takes Viaan aside. Viaan confides in Aarav that he plans to propose to Katha today without fail. Aarav encourages Viaan to go for it right away. Ehsan and Yuvraj also join Aarav. Suddenly, Viaan becomes nervous and scolds Ehsan and Yuvraj. He then makes up an excuse and leaves.
Later, Viaan lavishly compliments Katha’s cooking abilities. Katha gracefully redirects the credit to Neerja, but Neerja insists on praising Katha. Farah questions Neerja’s affectionate behavior towards Katha, to which Neerja attributes it to Katha’s lovable personality, much to the annoyance of Teji. Annoyed, Teji gives a diplomatic response when Neerja asks for her opinion on Katha. Kailash commends Teji’s response.
In front of everyone, Kailash openly expresses his paternal love for Katha, getting emotional in the process. He also expresses his fears that Katha may forget them if Viaan spoils her with too much love, but Viaan reassures him that nothing of the sort will happen. Katha, Viaan, and Kailash share a heartwarming hug.
Aarav confides in Ehsan, stating that they need to do something to help Viaan. He shares his plan with Ehsan, and together they inform the family members about their plan to entertain everyone. This confuses both Katha and Viaan. Ehsan plays a song, and Aarav convinces Katha and Viaan to dance together.
