Aashish took to his Instagram to announce the surprising news of his departure from the show. The actor composed a heartfelt message expressing his appreciation for the creators and the show.
In his extensive post, Aashish reflected, “Embarking on this beautiful journey of almost 4 years as your “Toshu” in Anupamaa has been a joy… Playing a character that is the polar opposite of my real self has made the journey more challenging and enjoyable…
It’s been a wild roller coaster ride. But oh, what a ride it’s been!!!” He continued, “From being a college topper – an MBA gold medalist, the beloved firstborn son, to the rebellious child, the drunkard, the runaway lover, the submissive son-in-law, the selfish money lover, the affectionate brother, the humorous property dealer, to being bedridden after a stroke… I’ve done it all in this journey… Toshu’s love for his father was the most touching aspect of this journey for me… It’s enough to bring tears to my eyes… It’s all so overwhelming…”
Aashish also spoke about his relationship with his co-stars, “I’ve met some incredible people on this journey who will remain a part of my life forever… and to my audience, my extended family – thank you for despising me so much that I could feel your love and always connect with me.” He concluded, “You’ll see me soon in a different avatar or perhaps as the real me… I look forward to your acceptance, love, and blessings forever.
