Imlie 23rd March : Change of Mind for Surya !
Daadi gifts family bangles to Imlie and says she should have given it to her when Agastya married her, today Surya is marrying her and hence it belongs to her from hereon. She fixes bangles in her wrists and blesses her to be happy always; says she knows Imlie is marrying Surya without her without her wish, but soon she will start liking Surya. Imlie emotionally hugs her. Surya’s chacha/uncle asks him how could he decide to marry without their consent.
His taiji/aunt Indira tells that Surya is being trapped and asks Nirmala though she doesn’t consider Surya as her son, she can’t forcefully let him marry a widow. Surya says he is marry with his consent, Chaudhrys are good people. Indira says they are even her blood relatives; she bought him up like her own son, but he doesn’t bother about her feelings and is bothered about his biological family instead. She suggests him not to marry a widow for her sake. Surya recalls Imlie’s request not to marry him. He says he never disobeyed her in life and will not marry Imlie.
Daadi eagerly waits for Surya. Imlie says Surya didn’t want to marry her and hence will not come, she should take even her along to whatever she is shifting with her family. They walk down the temple steps when they notice Surya getting out of car and saying he is ready for marriage. Surya recalls Tripathi calling him and informing that he got a lead in Agastya’s case. He meets Tripathi who says he found Agastya’s message for him in his phone which Agastya had recorded after he learnt about him but couldn’t send due to network issue. Agastya says he is his twin brother and is eager to introduce him to Daadi, other family members, and his life partner Imlie. He shows Imlie who asks if phone or she is important to him.
Out of flashback, Surya tells panditji that he is ready for marriage. Panditji starts wedding rituals. Indira asks Nirmala to call pandit to cleanse their house and learns that Surya left to marry Imlie disobeying her. She calls Surya, but he doesn’t pick her call. Surya marries Imlie as per rituals. Chaudhry family performs Imlie’s bidayi with each member expressing their love and concern for Imlie and requesting Surya to take good care of her.
Surya leaves in his car with Imlie. Imlie gets a panic attack recalling her marriage with Agastya. She asks him to stop the car. He stops car. She gets out of car. He asks if she is fine. She warns him to dare not touch her and confronts him for forcefully marrying her while she wanted to be Agastgya’s widow her whole life. Surya says he didn’t want to break his promise made to Daadi.
Precap: Surya tells Imlie that he didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable. Imlie says she will live with him for a year as she can’t give her exam for 1 year, she will work hard and became a journalist to be independent and then will leave his house forever.
