The episode unfolds with Janvi informing the registrar that another couple was ahead of them. She suggests that the other couple’s wedding should be conducted first, and they would wait for their turn. The registrar reassures Janvi, mentioning the arrival of another registrar who could officiate their wedding immediately. As Janvi is asked to fill out the form, she pretends to quarrel with Aryaman. Observing their disagreement, the registrar advises them to resolve their differences before proceeding with the wedding. They are then escorted by an attendant to a separate room for discussion.
Aryaman notices the attendant’s watchful eyes and playfully flirts with Janvi, who plays along. When asked if they have resolved their dispute, Janvi requests more time. She then reveals to Aryaman that they are in the file room and urges him to look for the file.
Meanwhile, Kian locks the door. Pushkar notices that Janvi hasn’t returned home even after her shift ended and that Kian is home alone. He calls Abhay, but Raina answers the call. Upon learning about Janvi’s absence, Raina decides to report Janvi to the child welfare services as an irresponsible mother. Pushkar agrees to Raina’s plan. Overhearing the conversation, Reva decides to alert Janvi.
As the attendant approaches, Janvi and Aryaman hide. Assuming that they have left due to their unresolved differences, the attendant locks the room. Aryaman assures Janvi that they can now search for the file without interruption. Janvi blames Aryaman for their predicament and reminds him of the near-marriage incident. Aryaman retorts that he had rejected Kian’s marriage proposal and has no interest in marrying her. He questions Janvi’s reluctance to marry, to which she replies that she cannot accept any proposal that demands her separation from Kian. She warns Aryaman to keep his distance from Kian, fearing the pain Kian would endure when Aryaman leaves. Aryaman remains silent.
In an attempt to retrieve files from the cabinet, Janvi nearly falls but is caught by Aryaman, who injures his head in the process. Janvi tends to his injury with a band-aid.
Reva informs Dadi about Pushkar’s plot against Janvi and tries to call Janvi, but Pushkar prevents her. Janvi notices nine missed calls and a message about Pushkar’s call to the child welfare services.
Janvi frantically searches for an exit. Aryaman informs her that they are locked in and can only leave when someone arrives the next day. Janvi expresses her urgency to leave, fearing that the child welfare services would take Kian away due to her absence.
