Udne Ki Aasha 23rd May : Sachin’s Promise ; Sayali’s Misunderstanding
The episode kicks off with the driver announcing that Sir won’t be coming. Renu inquires why, only to learn from the driver that Tejas had fled from his marriage, a fact they had concealed. This revelation brings a smile to Sachin and Sayali’s faces. The driver explains that Sir, having only one daughter, can’t risk an alliance with Tejas. Paresh expresses his humiliation, while Sachin makes light of the situation. The driver suggests that if they had been honest, Sir might have agreed to the marriage, but hiding the truth was deceitful. Sachin agrees and leaves, promising to return soon. The driver informs them that Sir has asked them not to visit his home. Sachin returns with a tiffin, offering the driver breakfast prepared for the girl’s family who won’t be coming. The driver thanks him and leaves, while Sachin revels in the drama at home. He mocks Tejas and expresses his joy at the turn of events. Paresh reprimands Renu for rushing into things and not listening to him. Sachin attributes Tejas’ predicament to divine retribution and laments the ruin of his life after marriage. Sayali asks him to leave and attend to his work.
Tejas expresses his desire to be alone for a while, which Renu opposes. Tejas assures her that he won’t harm himself. Paresh blames Renu for Tejas’ humiliation. Renu goes to Tejas and advises him to ignore Sachin’s words. She encourages him to eat and try to forget the unpleasant events, promising him a better life. Paresh criticizes Renu for her actions and asserts that no one will accept Tejas now. He advises Tejas to focus on finding a job. Tejas agrees. Paresh vows to find the girl who cheated Tejas. Tejas reveals that he had filed an online complaint and that the girl is not in India but in Canada. Paresh assures him that they will go to the police station and the police will guide them. Renu asks Tejas to leave.
Sayali gets angry and Renu scolds her. Sayali retorts and leaves for the market. A man she meets there expresses his surprise at her quick marriage and condolences for her father’s loss. He assures her that her life will go well as her husband is a good man. He reveals that he knows Sachin because he came to his area needing money and had mortgaged his gold chain. He assures her that she can repay the money later as he has the chain. This revelation angers Sayali.
Roshni and Tejas talk on a call. Tejas sounds sad and Roshni asks him what’s wrong. He brushes it off and asks why she called. She thanks him for the party. He reminds her that they were a fake couple. She points out that they won the trophy. They decide to meet and end the call, both smiling. Sachin comes home and Sayali confronts him about mortgaging the gold chain.
They argue. He denies mortgaging the chain for alcohol. She taunts him and he throws the water jug. Renu intervenes and asks what’s happening. Paresh signals her to stop. Sachin receives a call and says he’s leaving. He goes out and Paresh asks him where he’s going. Sachin complains of a headache and says he feels better outside the house. He leaves. Sayali tells Sachin that he’s lying and has cheated her. She reveals that he has mortgaged the gold chain and suspects that he spent the money on alcohol and partying. She says she was asking him about it and he got angry and left. Renu defends Sachin, saying he never did such a thing. She taunts Paresh about Sachin.
Paresh expresses his desire to know why Sachin did what he did. Renu leaves. The next morning, Paresh asks Sayali about Sachin. Sayali says he didn’t come home. Paresh calls him and finds his phone switched off. He decides to go for a morning walk and come back. He goes out and sees Sachin sleeping in the taxi. He wakes up Sachin and asks him when he came. Paresh asks him why he’s sleeping in the car. Sachin says he got late. Paresh mentions that he heard about Sachin mortgaging the chain given by Sayali’s mother and that she was upset. Sachin says she gave the chain to him and it’s his wish what to do with it. Paresh asks if he had to pay the EMI of the car. Sachin says no, he had some urgent work. Sayali comes and hears them.
Sachin says he will do double shifts and throw the chain on her face, calling it a cheap chain. He says he doesn’t like to go home because of the arguments. He sees Sayali and says she’s listening to their conversation. Sayali argues. Renu comes and looks on. Sachin says see how she ruins my respect. Sayali says he did wrong and she has the right to question him. Renu says they brought the family’s respect on the road. Sachin says her mother gave him the chain, but his father gave the money. Sayali asks if he will mortgage the chain and drink alcohol. Sachin denies drinking alcohol. Renu says she told them this would happen, they are fighting every day, they might hit each other. Paresh leaves. Renu taunts Sayali.
